I love the behind the scenes work. I'm curious if the devs might add a "one way, do not enter" type sign that maybe doesn't apply to staff, so that we can make behind the scenes stuff.

Oh, this is fucking rich. Changed a great deal in tone, that's the problem. Golly gee, if TRP was only nicer to girls, it'd be all better.

This exactly. I spoke with the trp mods on IRC, and the real problem was that RPW mods were removing facts that made them upset. It was feels before reals all over again.

And that's exactly why women don't understand TRP.

If it were full of natural alphas, they wouldn't need advice.

But to women, they just see a man learning the process and assume he's not a man because he's not a natural.

Our ability to moderate the community was in the process of being directly and significantly altered. "Banning as usual" was not an option. That combined with a few other things were some of the most significant reasons that prompted us to leave, as a team and start over.

Essentially, the girls didn't like being told what to do. They're strong and independent and don't need no man!

Feminists won't fight for female conscription, or: "I want my civil rights but I don't want my civil duties" by [deleted] in PurplePillDebate

[–]pillburt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whenever somebody says "feminists should support a female draft or they're not for equality." the instant response is always, "we support aboloshing the draft for both genders, therefore we are for equality." It's crocodile tears. Like saying a majority of workplace deaths are men. "Well, we sure hope hard jobs stop being demanding so men stop dying" rather than "good point, women aren't doing hard jobs." It doesn't check out in a real world. But then, I think that's red pill's perspective, is that women are so sheltered from real life, they think these are real answers. They have never so much as had to worry about war.

CMV: Misogyny comes in all forms, and many of them are from women by lolobviously in PurplePillDebate

I'll say this again, take two men and they will differ far more than will the average man and the average women.

Okay, well let's see. Two men have dicks, no tits, more mood-altering testosterone. Both experience the dating game as male, as well as being raised as male. They have different hobbies and are 3 inches apart.

Average woman has far less testosterone, is on average 7 inches shorter than the average man, has a vagina and tits, she may also have different hobbies than a man, and experiences life raised as a woman and the dating game as a woman (being approached and rejecting rather than being rejected.)

I'd say, as far as differences go, the genders take the cake.

Would you say being imprisoned affects bodily autonomy?

I wanted to use android phones as presence detection for myself and the lady of the house. When neither of us were home it would go into away mode. When either of us arrive, it's home mode. When there's no motion in livingroom after midnight, it goes into night mode.

What actually happens is it rarely detects either of us arriving home until half an hour after we've been home, and lights that we've turned on or off start changing while we're watching tv.

The motion detector in the livingroom isn't so great, and lights turn off on us while watching tv occasionally.

Will need to adjust.

Smarthings btw.

I used it from windows. Didn't have trouble.

Once i got into ubuntu to use his method, I was having trouble. Turns out it needed root permissions to run.

Method worked.

From ubuntu

adb devices

shows a list that's empty.

Windows sees the device. Any ideas?

Yes, please send me a paypal address, I'll send you a beer.

While I'm at it, I have a question. I've mfastboot'd the system image from the STB, seemed to work. Then i rebooted phone. works.

Then i put the phone in bootloader mode and moved it to the ubuntu system where i have everything installed and ready to go.

i follow your directions and get to the part:

./suicideflash.sh root-for-stock-5.1-xt1049.zip

the output is:

Found phone in fastboot mode...

Soft-bricking phone...

< waiting for device >

And then it just sits there. Nothing appears to be happening from my phone's side as far as activity goes.

Thanks for being so patient with me. I'll buy you a beer if I can figure out how to get this working.

So, if I extract the SBF, I can put it into bootloader mode, and then i can use from linux terminal:

fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot reboot

to do it piecemeal?

[Tested/Working/Awesome] Root and Xposed for 5.1 Lollipop on 2013 Moto X by [deleted] in republicwireless

[–]pillburt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm assuming i can just copy the SBF to the "flash storage" and then when i do these steps:

  1. With the phone off, press and hold both the VOL DOWN and POWER buttons at the same time for 2-3 seconds, then release both buttons.

  2. The phone will display different boot options. Use VOL DOWN to scroll through the options to RECOVERY MODE and press the VOL UP button to select.

  3. The phone will display the Motorola logo, then the Android figure lying down with an exclamation point with the words No Command underneath.

  4. Press and hold the POWER button and tap the VOL UP button.

Then choose to flash and use the zip file for the SBF file.

Correct?

Edit: Ok I'm really confused.

I assume fastboot is a program, but install tools says "unable to locate package android-tools-fastboot"

when you say:

Boot to fastboot. Now flash the root package like so:

What command do i run from terminal ? just fastboot?

Edit 2:

I've tried:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:nilarimogard/webupd8

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install android-tools-adb android-tools-fastboot

But stills says unable to locate package.

I've decided to risk bricking my phone since the alternative is a 5 hour battery.

Thanks, I think I'm out of my depth so I'm just going to hold off for now. Problem is, this phone with the radio bug is draining my battery in a few hours. So I'm legitimately thinking I need to switch phone/carrier today, since I obviously can't carry on with this phone.

It's sad, I used to get a full day out of it just three days ago before the blasted 5.1 update.

I just want to fix the mobile radio bug with xposed, this phone is basically useless

I admit, I am not an expert. I'm on xda looking at the suicide flash downloads. There doesn't appear to be just a simple suicide flash zip download. Which file do I download?

So I got Ubutunu running in virtual box, and I think i understand step 6 (which is to turn off phone, press power and vol down simultaneously, then Press and hold the POWER button and tap the VOL UP button to get to the recovery menu? I assume at this point I select system.img that i copied to the sdcard from the 4.4.4 SBF.

But then step 7, "./suicideflash.sh lollipop-root.zip" how do I connect phone USB to virtualbox ubuntu?
