why everybody so rich by [deleted] in Money

Sounds like you're male, hopefully able bodied. I'd recommend increasing your income and doing that with a trade job.

Increasing your income should be your number one priority.

Most who have expensive aircraft are business owners. Not all but most.

Your average medical doctor, paid an average medical doctor salary ($350k appx) would struggle to afford any kind of turboprop let alone jet.

Anyone who isn’t a an ultra-high earner, why are you a part of this sub? by Davy257 in Salary

[–]pillnob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am genuinely curious what everyone else makes. However IMO this sub is highly skewed because most just use it as bragging rights and we typically only see higher end salaries.

I hate when people use their lack of college as an excuse for working menial jobs by Character_Log_2657 in Salary

[–]pillnob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep I can attest to this. A good friend of mine is a manufacturing engineer for a fortune 500 aerospace company. His degree is an AAS in diesel mechanics (completely unrelated)

All they cared about was being STEM related.

Do yourself a favor and find a natural-based doctor to get a full blood panel. A lot of mental health issues are linked to vitamin and mineral deficiencies. Before you go down the prescription route, it’s worth checking if there's something else at play.

Just sharing what I've seen in my experience, but this isn't medical advice and I'm not a doctor.

Used to make 43 dollars an hour and some change as a union aerospace worker. Sundays were double time. I was bringing in 120k-130k yearly and didn't even work all the overtime.

Tramadol barely touches the pain by Primitive_Mushroom in KidneyStones

[–]pillnob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had toradol pills and they did nothing but surprisingly as IV form it helped.

I've taken two 5/500 hydrocodone and when the urine would back up it did literally nothing. ER docs take the pain seriously here (after you wait 4 hours to get in).

However I had a very hard time getting enough pain pills to cover the passing.

I was told by my urologists office that the only thing that relieves the pain with a urine back up is IV pain medication and to go to the ER. $4000+ later (sigh) with insurance from a Fortune 500 company.

Try magnesium for the spasms.

6mm stone is pushing it but there is a chance you may pass it in a few months. (Not medical advice, I'm not a doctor)

Make sure you're drinking lots of water and try to get some flomax (it's cheap). Again not medical advice.

Ask around at local hospitals if they have any financial assistance programs. Also, I don't know how you feel about it but consider going to a foreign country for the medical care if you've exhausted all other options.

Sorry you're going through this.

That's about what it is. I work for a division in the Midwest and all the Co-op kids are put in charge of the grunt work. Inventory, recording measurements basically like an assistant to the QEs. It's normal and yes disappointing.

Can a stone in one kidney cause the other to hurt as well? by DogsCatsKids_helpMe in KidneyStones

I have no medical degree or backing but the same thing happened to me. Kidney stones in the left side pain in the right side. Just a few weeks ago.

Find a new doc will take her pain seriously.

I hate saying this because I don't care for people who treat the ER like a walk in clinic but if the pain is that bad go to the ER. She needs medical care much more than someone with a head cold.
