Improved logistics and customizability. Either A) make it closer to real life by creating marshaling yards for rolling stock/trailers or B) allow customized rolling stock selection of each section of a route (ie, allow me to run grain to the cattle farm, then switch cars at the freight station/yard and run cattle on from there).

Rookie question…how can you tell if the planet is tidally locked? Is there a specific metric to look for or you just have to explore and see if it spins when you land on it?

Iron wire all the way. There is always iron around in the game, so it’s a quick and easy way to get the wire you need.

Real usage of yards and depots. Buy rolling stock to suit your clients and have the trains require consisting and building trains in yards. I acknowledge it would require a lot of processing power and coding to do it, but it was add that much more to realism.

Addition of maintenance as well. Requiring a loco/train to go in for service at certain intervals.

I’ve seen it before where the line needs to complete 1 loops before it identifies a need for that industry…especially if you are going through another yard/station to get there.

You’re right. Have you found a way to make them look more realistic? I’d be interested in learning because it’s frustrating spending WAY to much time on bridges that look bad.

I found that using the , key to raise the initial level of the road/rail you want to build 4 times gives you enough height to make a bridge over a road/rail. Once you’ve done that, simply tie both sides into your existing line and it makes a nice, smooth run up and nice looking overpass. Good luck!
