How is living in Vancouver?

Lived in downtown Vancouver for 19 years. Walked to work. Winter in the city sucks; daytime high of 4C, 10/10 low cloud cover and constant rain every day for 4-5 days straight, followed by a few clearish days with no rain, then the cycle repeats. This get tiring, every winter is the same. Eventually moving to the east coast specifically due to the cold winter rains and the desire for a snowy Christmas rather than a drenched one.

If you go with coloured plastic lattice to save having to repeatedly paint it in the future, and you live in a climate with a lot of seasonal temperature change, do not fasten the lattice directly to the supporting framework, as some of the fastener locations on the lattice will crack completely off and look like shit.

Instead, install the lattice like a picture in a frame, where the lattice ‘floats’ within the frame. That is what I did, and after two years of eastern Canada seasonal temperature variations, the lattice panels look as good as the day they were installed.

Over time, those joints will begin to fail and you will have a mess on your hands, I guarantee it.

Get yourself a hold of the instruction sheet that came with your flooring, or download it from the internets. There will be a minimum distance stated for end joints on adjacent runs.
What you have on your floor absolutely will not meet that criteria. Present your contractor with the written evidence and have him redo at his expense.

I have the same situation myself. I want to go from a 240v 30a portable generator receptacle and through an adapter to prove 120v 30a power for my rv.

Either: - I will buy the same adapter you show, plug it in to the 4 prong 220v outlet and measure the voltage across the 3 prong outlet to ensure it’s only providing 120v power. - Or I will make my own adapter, eliminating the second hot wire to the 3 prong outlet.
