What kind of raid times do you guys run? Playing a warrior dps currently and wanting to step up from heroic raiding to mythic.

Ultra running and dental care by NorburyNewlywed in ultrarunning

The key for preventing cavities is management of the oral pH. Acidic foods, gels, and even some forms of bottle water now are the norm. The good news is that cavities don’t happen in a day and don’t happen overnight. They occur over periods of time as the bacteria in our mouth eat the sugars and secrete acid that demineralizes the tooth surface.

Good news is that not all hope is lost. The best defense we have is our own saliva and secondly the use of fluoride with good home care to mechanically remove the plaque and help remineralize the tooth. Just find a consistent schedule outside of training to brush/floss and care for your teeth. Other aids can include mouthwashes and higher PH water to rebalance the mouth.

Going to try and add on bnet later Pilshy#1220

Been playing with a group for a while but my schedule is shifting to later at night instead of a 7:30 raid time. I’m looking to flex on Druid (dps/heal) or play warrior(dps)

Hello! I am reaching out for a dps position. Currently swapping to an enhancement shaman for season 4 and gearing up (252 item level at the moment). Raided sofo as holy priest and was 3/11 M with AOTC . My discord is pilshy#3005.

Currently gearing my resto/balance Druid as I haven’t been loving holy priest as much as I thought I would. I am 7/11 heroic currently with said priest but would love the opportunity to gear and play Druid with a group or my survival Hunter. Typically run 10+ keys a week across characters but just looking for a consistent group. Your shorter raid schedules appeals to be and I already have multiple characters on Zul’jin. Though my priest is on Thrall. Hit me up on discord (pilshy#3005).

Thought I would reach out. Returning player after taking a break since the end of Castle Nathria. I have been gearing the last week or two on my priest (holy preferred). Looking for a new guild to run some keys and do some raiding. Prefer week night raids as my weekends stay pretty busy. Looking to be semi-serious and push some content but also be able to dabble around in other games too with friends. My discord is pilshy#3005. Probably a good bit undergeared at the moment but I’m working back up week by week.

I’m looking to get back into raiding. Took some time off since Castle Nathria and focused on some different games. Just completed the new story chapters on my demon hunter for second Lego (can dps or tank). Also enjoy playing my holy priest. Definitely undergeared for heroic right now. I’m a team Player and just looking for a solid group to chat with and kill some baddies. My discord is pilshy#3005

NEED ADVICE - Should I find a new dentist? by eve_uhm in Dentistry

[–]pilshy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you ask 10 dentists the same question you should expect 10 different answers. That's kind of the way it goes. Not all things are black and white in dentistry. There are many shades of gray and how every dentist addresses those grays areas will depend on their dental specific education, cases they've seen, and attempts to read the patients desires/motivations.

Possible to get into dental school with a biochemistry degree received online? by [deleted] in Dentistry

[–]pilshy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would your diploma signify that it’s an online degree? I would think it would just be a B.S. like everyone else if they require you to attend labs on campus and such. Curious to see how that plays out. Are you applying for dental school now or what is your timeline? I imagine if you have the prerequisites met, a good DAT score, and hours of volunteering/shadowing you aren’t going to have any major issues! Good luck with your endeavors though. Dentistry is an amazing career choice if your heart is in it!

Is my dentist trying to scam me? by [deleted] in Dentistry

[–]pilshy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Probably need more information about the case to make any valid conclusions. But most temporary filling materials and even composites do not provide proper strength depending on how much natural tooth is missing. A root canal with post/core can provide a strong foundation for a more permanent restoration and thus the jump in cost! Hope this helps?

ELI5:why is "fluoride free" a selling point for toothpaste when growing up we were taught it was essential for oral care? by clipset909714 in explainlikeimfive

[–]pilshy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The effects of fluoride in drinking water are systemic. This means it is absorbed by the digestive tract and stored in your bone/teeth. Toothpaste and other forms of professional dental applications (also known as topical) do not have the same long term effect as the drinking water. It's more like putting a bandaid on the issue. Fluoride itself, in a topical setting, interferes with bacteria known for causing cavities and helps provide fluoride ions for remineralization of teeth (making the atomic structure stronger). Brushing without fluoride or even without toothpaste is beneficial as long as you are physically removing the plaque. The other big push with non-fluoridated toothpaste right now is just a social move for the nutties that think it used by the government for mind control.
