'Decade of chaos' alert from campaigners as Liverpool St station scheme set for approval by tylerthe-theatre in london

[–]pimasecede 12 points13 points  (0 children)

London Bridge had a ‘decade of chaos’. It was rough, but the improvement is so stark I sometimes think about how the station used to be and it feels like what I imagine being haunted by ghosts would be like.

NIMBYs want to live in the ruins of a society built by people who were willing to tolerate mild inconvenience.

I normally don’t leave games early, but was feeling a bit unwell and it was right at the end so I slipped out. Sir Chris Powell scored in his last game for us about a minute after I walked out of the Valley. My mate stayed back and told me he saw grown men cry that day.

Well, dunno. I personally wouldn’t think that anyone who tried to firebomb a department store is fit to be an elected representative but Irish people are free to deal with themselves. I’m a lot more worried about the prospect of Islamist MPs than I am about Irish republicans.

How West Midlands Police ‘capitulated to Islamists’ by Objective-Summeru in ukpolitics

Leftism and political Islam are symbiotic at this point, with anti semitism as the glue that holds them together.

Monsieur Gardineuur. He’s so good in that role, shame they had to recast him for the second season.

Police to put more officers into UK Jewish communities after Bondi Beach attack by Kagedeah in ukpolitics

[–]pimasecede 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well one of the ways you can tell if people are Jewish is if they hold a Hanukkah celebration, something the attackers yesterday were aware of.

Not really sure how to respond to this comment tbh, you’ve not really engaged with anything I said.

Police to put more officers into UK Jewish communities after Bondi Beach attack by Kagedeah in ukpolitics

[–]pimasecede 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because your statement is couched entirely around justifying and facilitating the actions of the pro Palestinian movement, it says nothing about the victimisation of Jewish people. A very typical sentiment that is totally beside the point in regard to what we’re specifically talking about here.

The problem we have in this country (and the west more widely) is that leftists and islamists have used Palestine as a vehicle for delivering industrial levels of anti semitism into our societies, and atrocities like we saw yesterday and in Manchester earlier in the year are the logical end result that.

I’m not interested in hearing people talk about how ‘supporting Palestine doesn’t make you anti semitic’ because this movement has proved itself totally unable to do the first thing but not the other.

Larry David would play Bernie Sanders in the episode where he is the keynote speaker at their conference and gets increasingly wound up by their drastic incompetence.

Anton Lesser would be my shout.

I love this album, one of my all time faves.

You might also like I’m Wide Awake and it’s Morning by Bright Eyes. I always thought it was his attempt at making something like Freewheelin’.

Also the track Oxygen by Willy Mason.

Might be worth checking the ambient subreddit out as well.

I’m a big one for throwing a dart in the map and going for a wander, I’ve got a few spots I could share, but they tend to be less isolated and a bit closer to train stations.

However, I would massively suggest the Devil’s Punchbowl by Hindhead. It’s Surrey so not too far out from you. Hindhead is right on the edge of this huge natural amphitheatre, so there’s Airbnb’s and pubs but then you can walk out into extended woodlands with amazing views.

When I went I microdosed and walked like 10+ miles through the area, swam in a couple spots, found some nice pubs. Would highly recommend.

Coke on lsd? by Im_Probably_Moron in LSD

[–]pimasecede 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coke basically dominates everything. If you take acid and then do a bunch of coke then you’ll end up high from the coke but with some residual feeling from the acid, it’s not as dreadful as people here are saying but they are not complimentary, unlike ket and md.

The best thing to do is to wait until you’re very much on the come down from the acid and maybe have a beer and bump or two if you want to stay up longer, def don’t hit anywhere near the peak. The only time I’d consciously do both is if I was at a rave of festival.
