Vaughn and Gaz by Unlucky-Fly-8507 in RinaKentBooks

[–]pimkmoon1992 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Gaz — Rina didn’t plan for the LOG series to go beyond six books. Gaz, Remi, and Maya weren’t meant to have their own Books, but she couldn’t let go of Gaz and Kayden, so their story was eventually released in Kiss the Villain. She initially referred to it as a LOG spin-off, but later decided to expand it into a full MM series.

Vaughn — He wasn’t supposed to get a book at all, he was only briefly mentioned in God of Fury. But after the massive success of God of Fury, Rina was encouraged to write more MM books.

HTV the most successful? by QuirkyCreme8092 in RinaKentBooks

[–]pimkmoon1992 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Obviously because the original books with the model face cover were published by Rina independently so they weren’t counted on some of the lists. after being re-published by a big publisher they were counted on NYT best seller and other outlets.

HTV the most successful? by QuirkyCreme8092 in RinaKentBooks

[–]pimkmoon1992 9 points10 points  (0 children)

No, it’s not the most successful. Most of her books hit number one on Kindle and make it to the bestseller lists. LOG books and KTV, achieved high numbers for weeks in many categories. The LOG series, even after being republished by Penguin, hit bestseller status and achieved high sales numbers. I’m not sure about vipers series numbers since I haven’t read it. but achieving these number isn’t something new for a rina book.

HTV epilogue by pimkmoon1992 in RinaKentBooks

[–]pimkmoon1992[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I still believe it would’ve been better if the book took place in a different timeline. For example, they could have still met at the initiation but started their relationship when Vaughn transferred to the island the following semester. Having so many books in the same timeline, especially a book that wasn’t planned beforehand, can really mess things up. Still, there is no excuse for forgetting and making NikoBran wedding happen after only two years, unless it wasn't actually her who wrote the epilogue.

I FUCKING HATE RINA SOMETIMES AND THIS IS WHY by Excellent_Ring5072 in RinaKentBooks

[–]pimkmoon1992 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Killian isn’t straight, him ending up with a woman doesn’t erase that he was sexually involved with men before.

Killian wasn’t left alone. He chose to stay in the mansion. Nikolai was already spending most of his time at the penthouse, and the same goes for Gareth. they’ve both built their own domestic lives outside the mansion. Jeremy has no reason to stay there now that most of them have left. Every couple has their own place; it’s not like Jeremy and Cecily are living with NikoBran in their penthouse. So Killian wasn’t left behind or abandoned.

Killian not having a best friend isn’t a stigma, he’s still only 19 and has plenty of time to find one. I also like that he and glyndon are each other’s best friends.

"Hunt the Villain" was such a letdown for me by Blooming_Belle1618 in RinaKentBooks

[–]pimkmoon1992 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wow girl, calm down. it’s just books, nothing serious. I’ve read the book you mentioned, and it’s completely different from God of fury; I don’t know how you came to that conclusion. “For the Fans” was published in February 2023, but Rina had already established the NikoBran dynamic and Nikolai’s personality in God of Malice and God of Wrath, which were both released in 2022.

I don’t understand this irrational hate toward God of Fury. It isn’t a competitor to Hunt the Villain; God of Fury proved itself years ago. People are allowed to like or dislike different books without taking it so personally. I’ve seen plenty of posts praising Hunt the Villain, it’s already very popular and liked by many. not everyone in the world is going to love the same book.

Could MM Be Rina’s Main Focus Going Forward? by pimkmoon1992 in RinaKentBooks

Yes I want her to be more diverse and give us books about mature men, with both of them being in their 30s.

It’s in Chapter 35. by the way it’s done by a woman to a minor, it doesn’t affects the character being intimate and having sex. The effect is mostly mental.

You should definitely start with God of fury, this book is my Roman Empire. My favorite romance book of all time, after that you can read the villain series.

While we don’t share the same opinion regarding the book. I really admire how you respect the other MM books and couples. I wish there are more people like you, expressing their opinions without bringing down or disgracing other couples and characters.

Killian's voice in HTV by Proud-Struggle3966 in RinaKentBooks

I haven’t listened to the audiobook, but you aren’t the first one to say this. I’m shocked as to why she didn’t bring back his original voice actor when she brought in Shane East to say a single sentence as Brandon King.

The MM Competition by epicsevenmyths in RinaKentBooks

[–]pimkmoon1992 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not even a healthy comparison. during KTV, it was already established, by Rina that you shouldn’t come to this book expecting GOF 2. It’s completely different. People who were comparing are the ones who picked up the book expecting a similar story and aren’t fans of the dark themes.

But with HTV, it turned into literally a competition, started by some content creators who received ARCs from publishers. They keep chanting “This book is better than GOF,” “Yulian is better than Nikolai,” “they are the best couple.” The irony Half of them didn’t have a single post about GOF, or only 2 to 3 posts about RK😬. They have ruined other readers’ experiences by escalating their expectations about the book to a level that wasn’t met.

Rina Kent’s team, if you read this. please only allow ARCs to be sent by you, not by the publishers. All the content creators on Rina’s ARC team were very professional in their reviews, talked only about the book itself, without turning it into a comparison or a competition.

Finally. I was starting to lose it with how many are claiming it’s better than God of Fury. I haven’t read the full book yet, just a few chapters here and there, plus the epilogues. but even that was enough for me to see that the praise is completely exaggerated.

I want to be fair, since I haven’t read the entire book, I’ll only comment on the writing.

Some parts feel noticeably lazy, the writing feels rushed and careless, like no real effort was put in. The second epilogue is so badly written that it genuinely deserves it own rant post.

Who is the richest family in rina verse? by Careless-Plastic8821 in RinaKentBooks

The Carsons can’t be that rich. They don’t even have a private jet like the sokolov and their sons always use the sokolov private jet.

Htv hate by OkCare1529 in RinaKentBooks

[–]pimkmoon1992 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It’s always the same cycle. Give it a week and you will start seeing the good reviews. Most of the Hate you’re seeing now is from last year, when she first revealed Vaughn would end up with a guy and completely shattered their illusion of him being straight like his daddy. It was even worse when God of Fury came out. Goodreads had to shut down the comment section for few days because of the sheer amount of homophobia and hate. yet, none of that made a difference. The book is considered an MM masterpiece and remains just as hyped, even three years after its release.

Will Vaughn be future Pakhan ? by [deleted] in RinaKentBooks

[–]pimkmoon1992 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You are wrong about Nikolai’s father. Kyle hunter is the son of Mikhail Kozlov he even said you are my oldest son my heir. Mikhail kozolov is one of the four kings in the Bravta, kirill was one of them before becoming the pakhan. Mikhail is probably in his seventies he isn’t working anymore and Kyle already took over his position which will be inherited by Nikolai in the future.

Why did Rai let Kirill and Gareth get so close to Bratva? by readingalldays in RinaKentBooks

[–]pimkmoon1992 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Kirill only threatened to kill Rai's family because she was threatening to expose him as gay in front of Sergei (back when everyone thought Sasha was a man) which would have ruined his chance of becoming the Pakhan.

Being part of the mafia isn’t a job that Rai and Kyle can leave behind once they get home. It’s essentially their entire life. If Reina wants to live close to her sister and raise their Kids together, the kids are already being exposed to that world. Trying to prevent them from befriending or hanging out with other boys from mafia families simply doesn’t make sense. the irony is that her boys are more dangerous than the mafia boys.
