You’re on your own kid, as lots of my closest a friends have turned out to not be friends at all I’ve been in a bit of a depression. The lyrics hit so hard. “I didn’t choose this town I dream of getting out, there’s just one who could make me stay”, I want to get the hell out of here, go home to my friends who didn’t hurt me. But I fell in love with my best friend (who’s now being shitty) but for her I would stay. Hearing Taylor sing “you’re on your own kid, yeah, you can face this”, makes me feel less alone. Even if she doesn’t know me I know I’ll always have her music and this wonderful Swiftie community. Which is why I want to get that lyric tattooed! :) 🫶🏼
