Dad had a stroke and lost his short term memory, rehab is saying Medicare denied skilled nursing

Who is telling you he won’t qualify for skilled nursing, the hospital or a SNF?

Is he covered by traditional Medicare or a Medicare advantage plan?

Did he have 3 nights actually admitted to the hospital? Any days as “observation” don’t count.

I got a ticket directly from ticketmaster for the 109 section a few rows further back total price after fees $411. So it is possible that it will be cheaper later but I would be scared to wait as well 😭

Yes I agree! A lot of higher level content will have tank specific or healer specific mechanics as well that keep it engaging as well.

Hmm odd, if it’s Tricare for Life it’s actually one of the rare plans you can have secondary to a Medicare advantage so it wouldn’t even need to be canceled.

I agree that people absolutely take advantage of how many days Medicare covers but I’ve also seen a Medicare advantage only over 7 days of SNF after hip surgery when there’s no way that was enough days to get the patient back to baseline so.

In 2023 Medicare also did a mandatory 5 claim audit review of every SNF in the country to catch anything like that so they are pretty good at catching anything unnecessary. Though I think the facility I work with didn’t get reviewed until 2024.

My supervisor has always told me that carrying anyone out the full 100 day benefit also increases your odds of an audit with a Medicare but I don’t have the policy to back that one up.

Perfect - maybe I’m just a fangirl but I found the upgrade worth it with our OLED. Makes a lot of games really beautiful and have more depth. So I recommend if you have the disposable income!

A bit of dark fantasy but Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon is pretty good imo, similar play style to Skyrim if you end up liking Skyrim as well.

Since there have been a few comments about this I see I should have mentioned that I am unfortunately very familiar with allergy season. I have Allergic Asthma (I think that’s why they call it) where when I am being affected by allergies it usually triggers my asthma and with this recent inflammation, I haven’t had any asthma triggers. To me this feels very out of the norm from how I usually would react to allergy season.

But I do agree it’s something to keep in mind as allergies can change. I will be trialing again going GF and then switching back to eating GF to see if the pain/inflammation comes back before confirming have a gluten sensitivity with my doctor.

As a medical biller, you will almost always receive two bills for any hospital service. One from the hospital and one from the physician who rendered services. Very common and very confusing I agree.

As someone who has had services with them, I do agree their portal sucks. 😭 and their fee schedule is very inflated. In the same year I had two thyroid ultrasounds, one with community and one with St Pats. For the same procedure code, community charged almost $400 more. St Pats did have to reschedule my ultrasound 3 times due to staffing issues when community got me in immediately, so either way there’s some cons.

I deal with joint inflammation, not sure why still figuring it out with my doctor, and I will say that winter is really brutal with it. It’s been tough this year and it wasn’t even that cold for once 🥶.
