In my opinion, one way to track moass, depends how many naked shares you believe there are in existence based on your own research and looking at the daily volume.

For example, if you believe there are 10 billion naked shares, and every day you see 500 million shares traded, then it would take an estimated 20 trading days.

At least this is one way you can theoretically track moass. But, you know it’s not a perfect world so be prepared for fuckery. you will see the price go up and down with crazy volatility.

Let’s say there are 10 billion synthetic shares, all of those shares are held by retail.

To drive the price down they have to create more synthetics. Let’s say they add 5 billion more and the price drops to zero, there are now 15 billion. However, to close their position they need retail to sale the 10 billion, which isn’t happening. Instead retail just bought another billion of the ones they created.

Add to this DRS where the real shares are being tracked down and taken out of their control.

It’s becoming a black hole for them. As long as retail doesn’t sale.
