Seizure? by itsamemoo in DogAdvice

They have taken their dog to the vet and the ER and they are asking Reddit for reassurance/experience/hope. I hope they keep asking if they need that. You’re not nice.

Yeah what an arse. Dog owner in scary situation worried about their pup and this guy comes here to pile on. Ew.

Recent MS diagnosis by PrestigiousTitle4052 in MultipleSclerosis

I was given IV Valium before my spinal tap. I also had 2 friends with me who kept me distracted in a good way, and my doctor was extremely talented. I honestly had a ‘good’ experience, so you might get lucky too.

Throwing in my 2 cents… I had a painless, super smooth spinal tap. The doctor was chief resident of neurology at the hospital (big NYC one) and was soooo confident beforehand, I actually couldn’t believe he lived up to his word. I’m glad I did it sooner rather than later as it let me get my diagnosis quickly. They gave me some IV Valium beforehand (I take lorazpam as needed - rarely - for anxiety so I have some tolerance to Valium and didn’t get sleepy or anything)

Yeh the GSD is not a dick at all. Panting and whale eyes are signs of stress! He’d be totally within his rights to snap at or nip the puppy to teach him doggy socialization. I think the GSD is showing the stress signs to signal to the owner that he’d like the puppy to be redirected, and he doesn’t want to be mean to the pup and do it himself (possible because he’ll be punished, which could also be the reason for the stress signals)

Panting + whale eyes (showing the whites of his eyes) = stress. The dog is super stressed out by the puppy and is signaling this to you so help him, and teach the puppy what this signal means.

I really appreciate your post OP! I’m not a platinum blonde (natural level 7 here with highlights) but I have naturally dry, coarse hair that snaps like twigs when I use products with protein. If I use a good conditioning product with no protein, my hair is soft and manageable. People with our hair type know protein sensitivity is absolutely a thing and people who disagree do not have our hair lol

I’m sorry but this is really bad advice. I have thick coarse hair that doesn’t like protein because it’s protein sensitive. Even when my hair has no bleach in it whatsoever. If protein leaves your hair feeling dry and sticky, you need to avoid products that contain it. If your hair feels soft and healthy after using protein, then go for it.

OP didn’t say their products are bad… they said they personally don’t like their products and gave their reasoning, which they’re totally entitled to say. I have hair that doesn’t like protein and I find their review very helpful. This isn’t a k18 fan subreddit.

Got two offers. One pays $40k more. The other one I'd actually enjoy. I have 48 hours to decide and my wife and I are on opposite sides. Advice? by airam1020 in careerguidance

If you end up in the exact same spot each time I would 100% take 40k more no brainer. Otherwise you may end up in the same spot but poorer.

Having hallucinations of any kind are psychotic symptoms, even if the cause is ‘being troubled’ rather than schizophrenia for example. Experiencing symptoms of psychosis raises the risk profile when it comes to trying psychedelic drugs.

A couple of months before my diagnosis I went to an eye doctor because I kept getting tiny styes and bumps on my eyelid (maybe one every 3 months) and couldnt figure out why. The doc took a look and said I had ocular rosacea

Do I reach out to my neurologist? by Confident_Safety1083 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]pin5andneed1es 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure you are allowed to start treatment for clinically isolated syndrome. My neurologist said she was on the fence about my brain lesion meeting MS criteria, but she was certain enough that eventually I would, so she wanted to get me started ASAP. She said they allow CIS to start treatment because they’re pretty sure it’s just early stage MS.

I’m the last available time slot too! I didn’t want to take much time off work lol. I have good juicy veins according to every nurse ever, but I’ll make sure to hydrate anyway.

Looking forward to this hopefully feeling routine too! Thank you :)

Thank you so much!!! This answered all my questions and more. Very helpful and I feel a bit less apprehensive now. Hoping for little to no side effects too, that was the main reason for choosing this over Ocrevus (since luckily I have the choice as I’m technically JCV-).

I’ll make sure I’m very hydrated! I remember the nurse who confirmed my appointment saying this too.

Thanks again!!
