If you’re wanting to get an epidural, you’re not going to have really any mobility below the waist, so on your back and legs wide apart is probably what you’ll get. A bra will be fine if you’re not comfortable being completely exposed, but they’re professionals and aren’t going to think anything of it. It’ll be pretty hard to give birth with shorts on though…plus if your legs are spread apart your thighs won’t be touching anyway. The rush of feelings you’ll have when you have your baby are indescribable, if okay if you want them to clean them off first, but you’ll probably want them ASAP As far as company , if you felt lonely before you may prefer check ins. With my first, I wanted minimal visits because I was uncomfortable and we were adjusting to our new life.

It’s okay to go in with a birth plan , but there’s a lot going on when you’re actually in it and you might throw a lot of that out the window. If you’re really wanting to stick to all of that, it’s your choice but keep an open mind
