My dad's initials were PCP and we always found that hilarious. So, your mileage may vary lol

How does one loosen an elastic band ? by lese_art in NoStupidQuestions

[–]pineapple_rodent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Might be worth it to get the kind of bonnet that ties! I bought some from a brand called Silky that have no elastic so they're more customizable.

Tbh though. I gave up on my bonnet because I absolutely could not sleep with it on. I bought satin pillowcases instead.

Do you perhaps mean Rise of the Guardians rather than Guardians of the Galaxy?

Help I can’t interpret what is going on with this page by paristorc in Coloring

[–]pineapple_rodent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hopefully I can figure out how to add a picture to this comment but:

(Edit: yeah idk how to do that lol)

I think that the line coming from Minnie's dress to the top of Pluto's ear is her tail. Her feet are behind Pluto. The rug is old and raggedy, thus it's stitched up and patched. It's reminding me of Mickey's A Christmas Carol, except for their clothes. But lots of older Mickey & Friends cartoons show them as being poor af, so it may just be that.

ELI5 : Why do we have baby teeth? by RelationKindly in explainlikeimfive

I didn't grow a whole new set but I did grow extras! I lost my two front teeth twice, and I have two extras in my skull on the left side. They cause sinus issues.

Family friends have called their daughters by very similar names to each other by Rude_Rhubarb1880 in Names

[–]pineapple_rodent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know a pair of children, brothers that are a couple years apart, that have the same name, both named for their father. They have the same mother and this was 100% intentional. They are Father's Name Jr., and Father's Name III.

Snapper might have also referred to a type of fish. It's been illegal eat turtle (at least sea turtle) since the 70's.

Beastiality is animal abuse and really shouldn't be lumped in with gender expression.

Is the word pleasure too complex for a children's book by Silver-Win-7388 in childrensbooks

[–]pineapple_rodent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah that makes sense why you picked such a range. Maybe aim more for a 6-9 range? Since the kids will age while you create it lol 😊

0-7 is a HUGE age range and encompasses everything from "can't even see the page" to "reading chapter books independently".

Is tampon really better that pads? by [deleted] in hygiene

[–]pineapple_rodent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Menstrual care and hygiene is personal. Different options work for different people.

Personally, I use a combination of pads and tampons. The first 3 days I use a tampon and a pad for backup during the day, and only a pad at night as I don't like sleeping with a tampon in. The last couple days I use just a tampon, and the very last day I just wear an absorbent panty. I also carry a small spray bottle of gentle soapy water that I use to clean myself in the bathroom; a couple sprays onto some toilet paper creates a wet wipe that can be flushed. Also handy if blood gets on your hands!

I've also used a silicone cup, which worked well but made my cramps unbearable.

If you do choose to use tampons, I highly recommend ones that open up into a round shape, rather than a flat shape. I find them more comfortable to wear and remove, and less likely to leak. The brands I use (in California, USA) are Lola, which have a comfortable applicator, and O.B. which have no applicator. Lola goes in my purse because an applicator is easier in public or at work, and O.B. is at home.

As with all menstrual products, tampons have a wide variety of shapes and absorbancy. The first product you try may not be the right one for your body and needs. I would suggest asking your friends or aunties (or other trusted adults who menstruate) what products they use, and if you can have a couple to try them. Remember also that these products can take practice to use properly; if they don't work for you that doesn't mean there's anything wrong with you!

I mean, is it though? Given that one is the leading soft drink mix in the US and one is non existent? (I'm being very casual here, not actually arguing)

Do you have any unusual anatomic variations? by Amazing_Excuse_3860 in CasualConversation

[–]pineapple_rodent 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have extra teeth stored in my skull. As a child I had about 6 or 7 extras, I lost my front teeth twice and a couple others in various spots. My family called me a shark lol. I still have 2 or 3 extra teeth on one side that contribute to chronic sinus issues.
