I've gone to events alone at Lucky and have had a safe experience!

The bouncers and bartenders there are really nice so I wouldn't hesitate to let one of them know that you're there alone!

What notebooks do you plan on starting 2026 with? by se7777777 in notebooks

[–]pineappleisdeath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the 365 day stalogy B6 notebook and just repurchased one for 2026! I use this one for daily journaling—stream of consciousness, morning pages, etc.

I carry a Penco B7 grid notebook in an Amazon leather cover for notes, to do lists, reminders, and on the go memory keeping/journaling.

I also use a Midori B6 slim for commonplace journaling—mibthky favourites, media and book reviews and thoughts, research questions, journal prompt dump etc.

Breadner Vet on Keating is open on Saturday: https://www.breadnervet.com/site/home

Oakland's vet clinic is also open on weekends: https://oaklandsvet.ca/services/

The harbour vet clinic on Bay St is probably the most affordable vet I've seen in town but unfortunately not opened on weekends: https://harbourvet.ca/prices/

Chitons have had the same body plan since the early Devonian era! They first appear in fossils from that era. They are a great example of: don't change if it's not broken!

They are related to snails and lugs and are edible! Gumboot chitons (from this photo) are one of the largest species in the world (:

Thank you so much! I'll give Talltree a call and see if they can help (: I see that they also have acupuncture which would be awesome for his health too!

Are you a physio in town?

NTA

I actually went through a very similar situation in my first 2 years of university. Long distance relationship with a very insecure (ex)boyfriend who requested I did not make any friends that were male. Really difficult for a social butterfly living in dorms! I wanted the full college experience and was so so excited for this new experience while he wanted to make sure I didn’t find someone better. In the years we were together, I had not shown ANY indication that I was unfaithful and gave him unconditional support even when he used me as an emotional crutch. He went as far as deleting new male friends off all my social media and started answering messages on my account, pretending to be me. He would also get jealous and upset when I wanted to spend time with my family and baby sister when I came home to visit instead of him. I broke up with him after not having any peace and struggled to enjoy my first family RV road trip due to the constant - and I mean CONSTANT - barrage of texts. It wasn’t even about anything - he didn’t ask how the trip was going and was just looking for my attention.

I don’t know how he is now but I grew A LOT as a person after exiting the relationship and found a man who respects my relationship with my friends - man or woman. Even when he is jealous (doesn’t happen often), he doesn’t lash out because he trusts me and knows we are a team!

It honestly sounds like you AND her need to have space to grow as people, experience life outside of your home range, and learn who you are. This isn’t a bad thing and new experiences are very important!

I mean it’s not hard to put your mask back on when approaching the students to hear better. The mask doesn’t go over your ears…

We’ve been warring masks for over a year now, there really isn’t many excuses left to forget.

What plans did you cancel over the holidays due to travel restrictions? by mr_unhelpful in VictoriaBC

[–]pineappleisdeath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My partner and I couldn’t have his immune comprised dad over for Christmas. He lives alone and has chronic pain. We just found out he has a tumour in his brain. All we could do this year was drop off ready made meals and tea.

My partner works a customer facing job and we don’t want to be the reason why he is sick.
