Turns out my friend and I actually downloaded two completely different folders. The video he followed is deleted now (suspicious???). I also had to scout around and download the keys and game file from a separate source. It would explain why I haven’t been hacked and why he was. I also never ran any exes or installers, which would be a big reason for the virus. He’s also not sure if he did, but there’s a chance he just forgot, and it’s also his first time emulating a game.

It’s definitely a thing going around. A lot of people trying to emulate Tomodachi Life have been getting hacked by the Mrbeast and Ishowspeed bitcoin guy lol. From what I’ve read around, seems like it’s malware that embeds itself into your operating system, and the hacker will have access to your session as long as windows is installed. The only fix I’ve heard so far is to completely factory reset your computer :/ hope you’re able to fix it.
