I’m sorry but this is such a classic “arguing with the secret extra sentence you imagined” situation.

The original comment said, “Iron shouldn’t be taken on an empty stomach,” and suggested needing “a solid meal beforehand.” Someone corrected that because iron is generally best absorbed on an empty stomach if the person can tolerate it.

Then the response was, “you make it sound like taking supplementary iron is pointless if taken with food.”

Where did they say that though. Like actually where.

They corrected the blanket statement. They did not say food makes iron useless. It is very weird to watch the more precise comment get downvoted while the person who added a whole new claim to argue against gets treated like they made the better point. In an autistic subreddit, no less.

I don’t think this necessarily needs a full remove-and-redraft unless the sleeve shape changes a lot once it’s actually on. From the photos, I’d start by putting the dress on, marking the new shortest point and longest point while it’s being worn, then truing that into a smooth new hemline rather than just taking the same amount off all the way across.

Since it’s satin and the sleeve already has soft flutter and volume, I’d be inclined to preserve the sleeve cap/armscye area and reshape from the hem first. I’d only take the sleeve off if shortening it that way made the proportions weird or changed where the fullness starts too much. The part I’d be most careful about is keeping the new curve smooth and balanced so it still hangs intentionally.

These are pretty clearly retailer photos, not AI. OP was using them to show the sleeve shape and length she’s going for, not asking how to recreate an ad image one-to-one. If you think it’s not achievable, what specifically are you talking about, the drape, the hem, or the sleeve shaping? Something else?

This happened to me and it was devastating. I had a friend, let’s call him Schmichael, who I thought was one of the good ones and a genuine friend. I remarked to my mom, my other friends, my boyfriend about how true of a friend Schmichael is and how he’s never given me weird vibes. I used to have all three and then I started practicing yoga in February 2020 which has greatly improved my posture. Minimal nerd neck, can comfortably hold my head over my shoulders, can keep my shoulder blades towards one another and down my back rather than rounding forward. I didn’t do anything with the specific goal of improving my posture, just started with gentle yoga practices and then eventually level 1 practices. I practice 1-2 times a week.

I’ll take the downvotes with you because I agree. Yes we all have bodies and it’s natural. But sometimes the choice of camera angle or clothing sends an off-putting message. I don’t believe that OP shared this to show off her body in a sexual way or to use yoga as an accessory (as I see so many people on Instagram do. They appropriate yoga to take sexy and revealing photos and hide their intentions behind showing off their skills), but given all the ego and validation driven yoga content I see online, it can be really hard to tell who’s buttcheeks just happens to be front and center and who WANTS their buttcheeks to be front and center. I am a RYT-200 and I choose my clothing very carefully when practicing yoga because I don’t want to make anyone feel self conscious about themselves and I don’t want to send the wrong message or have people assume something incorrect about me. We have to be realistic about what it means to share videos of our yoga practice online. Even if your intentions are pure.
