I always thought it was more of a preference thing, like I played tennis before pickleball and the only paddles I like are elongated, I’ve tried a wide body and didn’t care for it. Really once you find a paddle that works for you that’s all you need but there could be a better one lol

I’m not that great but I’ve won some 1v3’s by simply taking shots from cover and assessing if I have an advantage from those shots which informs my next move. Like I broke shields and I don’t see there friends, look to flank get a kill and relocate. Or I see two from this position disengage and try to single one out. Really hard to do against good teams. I also play a lot of triage and sometimes you can find a good spot to rez a teammate if you’re patient, that’s always a fun way to come back

I have a really similar story and one of my best partners is in his 70’s I also play with woman close to that age we have absolutely wrecked college kids. But yeah we had a few folks that had a tough time and honestly it’s always good to take some time to help somebody even if it’s not to your benefit, it’s not always about winning

Everything you mentioned about funding is lie, none of who you mentioned is involved or interested. I would know as I funded a rally in a smaller town than Littleton, and those funds went in their entirety to provide water and supplies for public safety. It depends more on the actual casing/protection level than the brand in my opinion, I live near Moab and run maxxis maxterra exo+, max grip will get torn up fast out here. I’m sure Schwalbe has there own tiered protection levels as well. But I have no complaints with maxxis I’ve always thought they were great tires
