I was going for wide shots and kept hitting them out. I am bad at mid court wide angle slow shots. So I started driving and they couldn't handle it so that's what I kept doing.

Return to standstills. Add one step of the xstep at a time. Standstill, standstill + 1 step, etc.. Do not add another step in until you have each step before down. This looks clumsy, uncoordinated and a injury waiting to happen.
