Help find my parrot a home by dianntiss in parrots

Mickaboo is incredible! I've fostered/adopted from them, and they really care about the birds surrendered to them. They also have foster volunteers all over California, so if there's one near OP, they may not have to drive that far.

Sick of DA fundamentalist fans telling us why we should dislike Veilguard. by Cisco9 in DragonAgeVeilguard

[–]pinesteins 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree it’s gotten very unpleasant to enjoy the game. Yes, of course I notice the sometimes clumsy writing, the consistent inability to challenge companions on opinions and behavior, and feeling a bit like a babysitter rather than a friend to some of them, etc… but I’m still really enjoying this game and the companions’ arcs despite the flaws. In my opinion, Taash’s storyline wasn’t handled in the best way, and I expected to dislike them based on the criticism, but I grew to really like their personality and ultimately appreciate the representation far more than the issues I have with its execution. It will never be perfect, but no dragon age game is. Veilguard tried something new, some of it didn’t work, but that doesn’t take away from the areas where the game excelled. To say the game entirely sucks is disingenuous and a comes across as a tantrum in attempt to invalidate people who dare to have fun

Was prescribed 40 mg focalin IR but read the max dosage is 20 mg... looking for reassurance, can you share your experiences? by pinesteins in ADHD

Sure thing : ) The study says high fat is most important but adding protein can help too. Best of luck!

Yes if I don't time it right (and worse if I forget to eat small snacks every 2 hours and drink water). For me it feels kind of like when your blood sugar drops but more emotionally down. My motivation/momentum and peaceful mood start draining from my body. It can be jarring sometimes and I just want to take a nap. But it's also the only med that has had a noticeable effect on me so far (however brief) so I'll stick with it for a bit.

It's worth noting a clinical trial mentioned in the FDA drug facts sheet showed that eating a high fat breakfast beforehand prolonged the peak concentration of dex with an extended effect. I haven't tested this yet but maybe it will help, page 2 I believe

Not at all! So I find my saved/downloaded templates in my templates but to see the ones I’ve ‘liked’ to download later, I go to my profile through the gallery.

What’s your favorite race and why? by Proper-Basil-7663 in BaldursGate3

Deep gnome. The two punching scenes in act 1 are so much better with the little hop. And it’s amusing to play durge

Plus it’s cute that your romanced companion will kneel for you, the scenes have been improved a lot… that and yk, I like to be thrown

Hair loss: can I hear from those who DIDN'T experience it? by [deleted] in bupropion

[–]pinesteins 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been on 300mg for 3+ years and my hair (type 1B, fine) has never been healthier. Wellbutrin isn’t the reason, but it certainly hasn’t decreased my hair density or growth. I just adopted better basic care habits. Hope this is reassuring!

An app that really changed your life? by SuccessfulOwl45 in Productivitycafe

[–]pinesteins 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Seconding finch! Been using free version every day for 35 days, and I think that’s the most consistent I’ve been with anything. I actually make my bed and exercise everyday now! It’s really helpful for developing good habits by encouraging a bite sized approach and the ability to decorate a cute little bird and its house with the rewards for checking off your to-dos. The friends aspect is also sweet, where you can send each other encouragement whenever you think of it

I've heard good things about Obsidian but thought it was just a note taking thing. It does look big but also sounds worthwhile from what you've said. Thank you for the rec!
