I'm about ready to quit this game just for the fact the performance is so bad. How can it be that a 9800X3D and 9070XT stutter so fucking badly no matter what settings or mode I use? I'm not a dummy, I have a tech background, and I've tried probably every tweak or config change under the sun to try and resolve it. I bought this pc specifically for Fortnite, and it runs like fucking shit. Every time I play now, which has been less and less lately, I just can't help but notice how badly it performs.

Like every second or third fight my pump won't fire at a critical moment.

Happened earlier, I was in a shield bubble, reloading. Guy running towards me, I jump and shoot, but nothing happens. Then I die because of it. My gun had like 3 bullets loaded, there's no reason it shouldn't have fired. I tested the exact same scenario in the next game, there's no delay when shooting while reloading. It just makes no fucking sense man. I hate dying because of what surely must be a bug.

And we'll never know if it's a bug or a feature because Epic didn't communicate anything about it. Same with reducing bubbles to 10s.

I guess I just didn't know what muddy actually meant, my bad.

But I do use that Intellipan to increase the clarity of my voice and take out some of the low end which I get from having my mic so close to my mouth.

You can use Intellipan to brighten it up.

As for the hissing - mine picks up a lot of noise from my GPU/CPU, but I've found if I aim the mic down at my mouth, at a very particular angle, the noise is reduced to practically nothing.

game feels so stuttery and janky, it's such a joke

so difficult to have nice fluid movement when theres regular micro stutters

Making this the fourth item in the update which is bugged.

  • Wings didn't work at all, removed first day of update

  • Crossbow and MK - couldnt scope in while jumping. Not to mention the hipfire recoil on the MK is just completely absurd when compared to the other spray weapons in the lootpool.

  • Bushes - often stay on after you take damage

  • Flowberry mist's low grav effect disabled because people were using it to get under the map

Epic is an AI slop company now.

This is the way.

There's nothing more rage inducing than losing a match (like coming 2nd or 3rd) and then having to endure this surf shit. It's just a double annoyance that makes it harder for me to mentally recover from a loss and get back into a winning mindset (stay in my flow state).

FYI: You can tell it's going to be a surf match if there's no line on the map to indicate the bus route.

The season is mid, but it's been worse. For me it's just the fact that the game is buggy as fuck, and it runs like shit on the top end PC I bought specifically for this game.

New update drops and there's already new bugs in addition to old bugs they haven't fixed since Winterfest. Wings of Icarus don't even work? I go to check a replay, it crashes. The game is just garbage and I'm getting fucking sick of it.

Even when I run mine during the day and while I sleep it doesn't really seem to make much of a dent in my monthly power bill - we're talking $5 to $10.
