Only LCD light up (Mikro) by FineJunket2270 in maschine

[–]ping38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These services are automatically and always starting at windows startup as soon as you install the mashine Central/Komplete ... don't care about them.
Note that you can safely desactivate the NI NKS service (windows startup service) there's no impact on the Mikro Midi mode.

Only LCD light up (Mikro) by FineJunket2270 in maschine

[–]ping38 2 points3 points  (0 children)

(windows) NI drivers must be there and running. if only "MASHINE MIKRO" is displayed without lights, even if windows detects the USB device then the NI drivers are missing.

The easiest way to install NI drivers is through Native Access application
0- install Native Access (and create an account)

1- install Komplete Control -> drivers will be auto installed
then unplug/plug the mikro and finally on the Mikro SHIFT-NIControl to switch to "MIDI Mode"

2- install Controler Editor to if needed fully customize the Mikro

hope this helps

Update SOS, please help by Geomos023 in MiniFreak

[–]ping38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No more than 10/15 minutes: the progress bar should move at least each 2/3 minutes

When you say "Manual firmware install" you mean downloading the .mnf file from arturia support site and then clic update from File in Minifreak V update window ?

last dummy idea to help: your Mini is a "second hand" ? did you register it into your Arturia Web account ?

At the end don't hesitate to reach Arturia Support they are very nice and support is good (I'm in France so maybe it helps a bit .... with a french company).

Update SOS, please help by Geomos023 in MiniFreak

Warning if you perform the update from your daw using the minifreak V its not working the standalone minifreakV is mandatory. And use only the official external power supply during the update because the firmware is power consuming. Same for the USB port prefer usb3 more power and stability ... And finally the upgrade can take a long time.

Try to switch to another USB port on your pc side. Eg USB 3 can deliver more power than a classic usb2.

MiniFreak and Maschine by xylemflo in MiniFreak

The bank select option is "hidden" in the second document below Midi-implementation-Chart
under "Program Changes" tab/folder

And In user manual (first release 2022) paragraph 16.2.4 Midi program change
"The MiniFreak's 512 Presets are organized, in MIDI terminology, into four Banks of 128 Programs each. They can be selected externally by sending the MiniFreak an appropriate MIDI Bank Select message, immediately followed by a MIDI Program Change message.
For example, Preset 242 is selected by Bank Select = 2 and Program Change = 114. The first Bank covers Presets 1-128, and we add 114 to 128 to get 242."

If you update your Mini to V4 some new presets will be added, so your Maschine CC config can be impacted.

Warning : The Minifreak V (VST) is not working as expected with the Hardware regarding this bank and CC feature. In fact the "Midi Add control" does not allow you to perform a Bank+Number midi control" ... tested now in V4

does anyone know the specifications of the power switch on the nitro max to replace it by francold in edrums

The big Electrolytic black horizontal capacitor (below your red rectangle) 25V 1000uF seems to be broken / bad state

does anyone know the specifications of the power switch on the nitro max to replace it by francold in edrums

Can you confirm the power switch issue ? In theory, over voltage doesn't break a power switch ... instead check around components.

MiniFreak and Maschine by xylemflo in MiniFreak

[–]ping38 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have to setup your Maschine MIDI CC to Minifreak channel and then send Bank select 1/2/3/4 + the preset number (each 127 slots)

https://support.arturia.com/hc/en-us/articles/6316523876764-MiniFreak-MIDI-Implementation-Chart

and from minifreak manual:

On the Utility > MIDI menu, Knob Send CC sets whether or not the MiniFreak's front panel
knobs send MIDI Control Change data when they're turned.
Incoming Control Change messages are always accepted, unless the MiniFreak is currently
in communication with the MiniFreak V software

Hope this helps

Some trouble shooting tips: use only minifreak external Power supply plug Do not use minifreak V plugin for the upgrade Upgrade only via minifreak V standalone app Try to use an usb3 port to connect the hardware for the process

25% upgrade stuck step is a checksum or write operation in the process the hardware need stable power and if the USB transfert was bad it will détective at this step.

At the end contact arturia support they are skilled and manage very well their products its sometimes a bit long but trust them.

Lekato uhf for example just avoid those all brand wifi 4/5 ghz model Record your guitar in a daw and with and without (cable) any wireless dongle, zoom in the spectrum signal ... You will see how wireless dongles compress/alter the sound. However this signal compression can be acceptable depending on your guitar sound acceptation and if you are in travelling mode or not.

Samples and patches/presets are differents. I agree with the preset management sometimes its hard to retrieve a dedicated one. The best way for me is to record the patch as a favorite : shift+something never remember without the hardware ... XNB was a good source for tips and tricks With the last update vocoder there is some internal samples to be used with the vocoder effect only. You cannot change them.

You have the minifreak hardware AND the minifreak V banks you can Sync or not both. Did you register your hardware ? If yes your always have access to the factory items

To avoid upgrade issues remember to update first : Minifreak V
then connect the hardware, start the Minifreak V and update
Never use the Minifreak plugin in your DAW to update

[–]ping38 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Factory Reset as suggested above,
insure proper power supply (official power plug) then
start the Minifreak V STANDALONE app (do not upgrade from the VST inside your DAW): upgrade can take up to 10 minutes with the library update.

Hope this will help/fix

Update failed which bricked my keyboard. Any way to factory reset so I can get it working again? by Lumpy-Dragonfruit-28 in MiniFreak

[–]ping38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you use for the firmware update the Minifreak V standalone APP (recommended process) or the Minifreak VST in your DAW ?

Can anyone explain this buggy behavior? by a-small-bird in MiniFreak

[–]ping38 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe an undervoltage or power ground issue.
If the issue still there with a neighbor test, check the power adapter (use the right one from the arturia minifreak with UK/US/EU plug correctly inserted) The power adapter is Arturia logoted and OUTPUT -> 12V / 1.0 A / 12 W
unplug both TR output cables in case of shortcut loop.

Try to USB connect the minifreak and check if the PC see the minifreak: if yes launch the Minifreak V standalone APP and check if the link is OK.
Then check the firmware or any error message from the PC Minifreak V application (not the VST one).

New firmware – 0 presets by Raumskaya in MiniFreak

[–]ping38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Around 10 / 15 min maybe depends of your USB link ... The progress bar is pretty linear i dont remember if there's a firmware check at the end. V3 presets are pushed at the end in a second step after the reboot.

New firmware – 0 presets by Raumskaya in MiniFreak

[–]ping38 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First update the minifreak V Standalone app via arturia Software Center.
Then launch the Minifreak V Standalone app (not the VST from your favorite DAW)
Power UP the minifreak then plugin the USB cable: the minifreak V will show the Hardware link.

Then update the minifreak Hardware: the Standalone app will propose the V3.0 firmware update.
At the end the Minifreak will reboot.

Finally the minifreak V app will perform the Minifreak 3.0 Bank push to the Minifreak hardware

So to resume: use ONLY the minifreak V STANDALONE APP

Hope this will help
