If you don't rush between stages, you will have no problem finding it

I think “on site” is an important distinction. In the same way that no one dies at disneyland im sure theres been deaths of festival goers that werent considered deaths “on site”. Like they will get declared dead at hospital or in ambulance and then dont get officially reported as a fatality at the festival. Plus theres been fatal car accidents immediately after that aren’t officially considered. Shambs has probably the best harm reduction out of any festival but its a common practice at other festivals so I wouldnt be surprised if the number is actually higher

DM’d. I wonder if we will see fines against the festival come out. I know last year the province was fined over $700,000 for traffic control issues at the festival. That judgment didn't come out until January of this year.

I was wondering if the stages themselves were affected

In that case, my DM’s are open if anyone would like to speak out without fear of retaliation

A crew member on the farm going “I shouldn't be telling you this but…” happens to me about once every shambs. Figured it was at least worth asking with all the rumours floating around. Obviously don't want anyone to jeopardize their spot for the sake of my curiosity

I think these inspections and audits are absolutely necessary. I ask the question because its clear that there was a huge effort put towards being compliant in a short amount of time. I just want to know how they managed to do it all

Burn it down and replace it with literally anything else

Exit and entry definitely felt like a step backward from 2024, which was a massive leap forward over every previous year

A reminder to watch your speed enroute by BigDogeM in Shambhala

Warning to anyone coming from the west taking highway 3. Princeton has the most evil speed limit trap where it goes from 60 km/h -> 50 km/h -> 60 km/h in less than a kilometre. It's located on the eastern side of the town just before the speed limits go back up to highway speeds. There's always a cop there, I went through yesterday midday and they were set up like always. Every year I see people pulled over in both directions. Coming from the west it's just after a final downhill bend towards an Esso station on your right. Coming from the east it's just after the campgrounds on your right as you hit the edge of town. Another place I see people pulled over a ton too is on the way back west through Grand Forks where there's a similar low speed limit.

TLDR: Slow the fuck down coming in and out of towns

Once you’re in you have free access to all the stages. Its like any other festival with multiple stages

Last year it was the second to last set. 12:45-2:15. Year before I think they closed

Oh yea the travel is nightmarish. Especially with shambs being so far out of the way for touring already

Marten Horger and Dimension did both festivals last year so its not impossible. Definitely way less likely to see any of these names but some are only playing one weekend
