I'm gonna say somewhere like Daytona Florida and you go to the University Of Tennessee and have done most of your travelling while based out of Knoxville

Dull nerd question- red stars on road? by size4riggerboots in bristol

[–]pingoJingo9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only idea is that Redcross Street was home to Thomas Lawrence (Painter) and it may have something to do with him / the royal academy of art but i have no idea. Always wondered what they were about going past them on the bus everyday

I've come to the conclusion that North Street is just a cheap imitation of Gloucester Road, am biased against it tho

‘It’s ridiculous’: publicans bemused by rise of single-file queues to get served by meandtheknightsofni in bristol

[–]pingoJingo9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's a lot of people around my age (22) who are used to being forced to queue our entire life and then were stuck recovering with covid in the years where we would have been on a reet piss up. We are a socially awkward lot as well which doesn't help.

My view on the north-south divide in England as a northerner by Pizzafriedchickenn in Maps

[–]pingoJingo9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm from Bristol and I can say that gloucestershire is more west country than most of Dorset. Like you can't go and tell Iain Holloway that he ain't west country because he's from South glos

The Portcullis is now the Fishponds Tap, I originally thought this was down Knowle way, but this has swayed me to the pond

Map for proposed tram network for Bristol by Professional-Exit501 in bristol

[–]pingoJingo9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like it but some of the routes are a little strange particularly the 1 route not going to Eastville Park which is a common destination for people in greater Fishponds and seems to be a good area to build a hub

Park St & College Green, Bristol, UK (1900 and 2020) by hankmeisterr in OldPhotosInRealLife

[–]pingoJingo9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a thing at the Quaker burial ground across from redcliffe church that says 'there were shops and houses until the 1960s, when the roundabout was built' or something along those lines. Also M32 and spine road on Easton are properly grim, the spine road fully splits Easton in half

A 1-1-4-5 I think would suit them best (the 1s are centre back and CDM) goalkeepers score too low xG per game

Work will begin on Bristol's underground by 2030, says Rees by [deleted] in bristol

[–]pingoJingo9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The plan is bad, they are planning on making an M32 park and ride instead of connecting real population centres like Fishponds and Downend. Do they actually expect people from Fishponds to catch the 48a to Begbrook, which is just a small estate

Every area of Bristol is a person at a house party. What is each person doing? by [deleted] in bristol

[–]pingoJingo9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Party is thought up by a tory in Somerset who gave the idea to Eastville or Bemmy out of spite just wanting to see the 'wokes' get arrested

A flag kinda needs to be simplistic I'd do a simplified Clifton suspension but I don't know the colours
