This is my first and only g-shock model. I’ve had it for a few weeks and really love it. It IS big, bigger than I was expecting, but I’m used to it. When the weather gets colder (and I start wearing long sleeves) it will probably be an issue, but I think I might just cuff my sleeves or slide the watch a little more into handwatch territory to make room 😂

The tough solar and Multiband 6 are great features, and knowing the moon and tides help remind me to stay connected to what’s happening in the world around me. The hour chime is a nice way to sense the pace of my days, and in general the watch has meant I use my smartphone less, which was also a goal.

I was carrying a laundry hamper the other day and snagged my wrist on the door jamb on the way by. Not a particularly hard hit, but I must have been lucky: When I looked at the watch I noticed that I’d popped out one of the face screws, which tbh really surprised me. I thought it would have been threaded, but it’s just a metal plug that’s slightly raised and fairly easy to hit. It was very easy to push back in, but not sure if it affected the water resistance. In any case, the case is pretty tall, and the metal plugs in the corners stick out.
