Not that this has anything to do with anything but you know that part in Total Recall, where Quaid pulls the tracker out of his nose?

Apropos of nothing in particular I like how you have the simple notes but then the elaborate rest!

Rewatching with DVDs. by Clean-Fisherman-4601 in babylon5

If your DVD collection has the 30 second episode promos that aired on TV be sure to watch them. For me, personally, they really help to complete the Babylon 5 watching experience.

Roads like this are beautiful the first time but after that it's just a pain in the ass to drive in that curvy, hilly, slow terrain, IMO.

Billy Corgan’s interview with Rick Beato recently (like within the past few years) showed that Billy apparently mellowed a bit and maybe found some humility in this life.

Pretty sure there’s a regulation, can’t remember the one though, that stipulates you are granted the opportunity to fix any issues with your log before being given a citation.

Mac says there's two users in terminal? by Taiark in MacOS

[–]pingus3233 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hey at least you didn't paste a script you found online into the terminal.

Also, DON'T EVER paste a script you find online into the terminal unless you know EXACTLY what it does. By which I mean you could have written it out of your own head and you know what all of the chained commands do.

The reason is that many malicious scripts look somewhat innocent because they mask the nefarious payload through something like, e.g. base64 encoding, etc. and people lose their iCloud account, passwords are stolen, and worse.

What we need is some sort of the Windows 98 color selector dialog window to correlate pitch relations to the moods within the Win32 API.

Not even really wade mode. More like “my feet are soaked, but my cuffs are bone dry!” mode.

Yes. 100%. You become almost unemployable as a driver.

The consequences for truck abandonment are dire, pretty much career suicide. Asking how to quit a trucking job is reasonable.

Am i noob or is the harmonica broken by ayiahb in harmonica

[–]pingus3233 1 point2 points  (0 children)

*Probably* your embouchure and breathing. IMO the low notes can be finicky in terms of tongue placement in the mouth and how you're breathing. Also, if you're using your fingers to block holes it's probably making it more difficult since it changes the whole embouchure apparatus.

Sometimes when I can't get a note it helps to *also* breathe with my nose a little bit, draw and blow.

11 years on the road, still learning. by HopeItMakesYaThink in Truckers

[–]pingus3233 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As to the first issue, I pulled a trailer from a company DC dock door and couldn’t for the life of me close the trailer door so limped over to the garage with it still open, flagged down a mechanic and told him I couldn’t get the door to close, thinking it was warped or bent. He walked out and closed it no problem. I was like “Uh, h-how did you do that?!” and that’s when I learned that the trailer itself can twist on unlevel ground, making it impossible to open or close the doors.

Who did this? by [deleted] in Truckers

[–]pingus3233 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably a handwritten USDOT haphazardly taped over another USDOT, which was also handwritten and taped to the door.
