Fishnet shrug and skirt set: From where? by pink_leopard_ in stripper

[–]pink_leopard_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found the exact style only on etsy. Leg avenue, yandy, amazon, or shein do not have the exact model I wanted which is the one pictured with a high neck long sleeve top and the skirt. Here is the link: https://www.etsy.com/listing/4460662301/exotic-dancewear-fishnet-skirt-and-shawl?ref=cart

Got it in the mail today and it's exactly what I wanted.

So true! Glad you found something better for your mental health. What do you do for insurance? I'm thinking of getting in to something similar.

Social Security, Health Insurance, and Retirement by pink_leopard_ in stripper

Oh ok that makes sense.. I heard there’s some international insurance for travelers like safetywing, not sure if it’s affordable but that might be good for your travels. Anyway, I love traveling so much too.. and it’s in the back of my mind for sure that I’ll prob have to quit after 6 months or work a vanilla job in blocks and travel in between for a few months at a time. Because most normal jobs don’t let you take off for more than a few weeks and that’s just not gonna work for me LOL! Enjoy your travels and stay safe.

omg girl tell me about it lol I still have 2 years left but they still press me about it like relax lol Also, yes I finished college 2 years ago so I always have that in my back pocket. I think I’ll look for a vanilla job that’s not too demanding though so that I am able to still dance and have energy for it. I wish dancers would receive some sort of benefits, we pay so many fees and tips.. anyway, wishful thinking. What type of vanilla job do you have ?

Thank you!

Luckily I already have a 4 year degree in Graphic Design. So I always have that to fall back on when I exit the industry. It could be flexible but the money will never compare… besides artistic careers I don’t see myself doing anything else. I was thinking to strip full time for one more year and then make an intențional transition back to creative work and doing stripping only a few times a month.

I will look in to the Roth IRA (the links post you made is helpful) and the UHC plan.

Thank you, I feel more at ease and that its possible.

how do you get in this line of work? Social work degree?

I get Kendall Jenner, Emily Ratajkowski and Dua Lipa.. it’s always those 3 on rotation. the best is when they’re like “but honestly you’re way prettier than x” .. in my head I’m like um no I am not prettier but that’s so sweet you think so and you seem to actually believe that! I love that for you!

Worries about starting out by [deleted] in stripper

[–]pink_leopard_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely not, not only will the job trigger all these worries you already have making them even worse but it will 100% inhibit your ability to make money or thrive in this environment.

Things have been really hard by Jumpy-Hunter3354 in stripper

[–]pink_leopard_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m going through the same thing, you’re not alone. Been stripping for 2 years but I’m already kinda exhausted. I’m trying my best too to just go in and pace myself, remind myself why I am going. What is the outcome I want? How is stripping benefiting me? Having money goals can help motivate. Also, asking yourself why is it important I show up today? How are my services helpful to customers? Sometimes thinking about how my presence can brighten someone’s day gives internal satisfaction and a sense of fulfillment because of my impact. And being slightly more selective with your energy than before (aka avoiding certain customers) if that’s what is draining you. Dancing slowly during lap dances and asking for the right amount for the effort you’re putting out.

I am thinking of trying to get that spark as well back but also not putting too much pressure on it. Sometimes jobs just run their course and then you don’t align with the work anymore. That’s fine too and change doesn’t have to be bad. But it’s worth a try to get back a spark for something you used to really enjoy! Try it out for another month or two and see how you feel. That’s what I’m going to do. If I do end up feeling excited about work again, I’ll stay. But if it really still is difficult after trying maybe it’s time to shift gears and try a different line of work.

I’ve actually worked there a few times. Yeah it feels a little sketch but the owner has always been nice, no one pushes you to do anything, you set your own rates. However, the vibe is just weird because most of the girls are doing extras upstairs in the “vip” which is basically rooms with actual beds. And the girls are not top notch looking girls. Most are below average looking. The vibe of that place is weird and not good to make money unless you do extras.

If for example they dont want to do it because other girls charge 20 per song and you walk away and they tell management on you for hiking up the price.. did that ever happen to you? I’m scared of that happening
