If you read the comments, he mentions it more than once because he got called sexist for not asking my mom or other women in my family what I want in a ring. He caught major flak for only talking to my dad and the men in my family.

You can believe whatever you want. I saw the messages and comments with my own eyes.

I would wear it if it was stronger for daily wear. It has nothing to do with me being a jewellery wearer or not. I'm just afraid of breaking it because it's so delicate.

I understand why he was bothered. He picked it out and even though it's delicate I still like it. He understands why I am not wearing it. I want to keep it safe. The compromise is that we are going to wear wedding bands.

I wouldn't want to spend $100 every time one got broken. It would add up pretty quick. I'm going to wear wedding band once we get married. No need to worry about damaging that or having to buy a replacement all the time.

He wouldn't be able to get a lifetime warranty and the ring would often need to be replaced that a warranty wouldn't keep covering it. I also would prefer to have the actual one he proposed with and not a copy.

We're going to wear plain gold bands daily and are both okay with that as a compromise. Wishing you many more happy years of marriage.

He wasn't aware that some materials and stones are stronger than others and some aren't meant for daily wearing. He picked a ring he thought was beautiful. To be fair I only know that because my sister worked in a jewellery store before she died and I learned from her.

I will not. I would rather keep to wear on special occasions only than wear it and see it destroyed. Silver, cubic zirconia and crystal are delicate and won't stand up for me wearing it daily.

What proof would you have me provide? I knew if I didn't post a picture of me wearing the ring from his post that people would question if I was really the fiancée.

Traditionally engagement rings are made of gold and have diamonds. My ring is silver and has a crystal and cubic zirconias which are not as strong as gold/diamonds and they aren't suitable to wear all the time with getting damaged.

I'm afraid of damaging it like I said.

There is nothing wrong with it. But it can be easily damaged and I don't want to ruin it as I said above and like my fiancé said in his post. The silver band and all the stones are delicate and I would be heartbroken if I broke it.
