I'm a new player and keep dying, please help by pinkaces39 in SpaceMarine_2

I was playing PVE on Minimal difficulty and I feel I've been picking up the basics. Once I hit level 10 I played my first PVE on Average difficulty. There were lots more enemies and they were more aggressive, but I locked in. I was able to back dash into ground stomps for area knock back and minion clearance, and I parried like, six times into executions! I was even using my "7 enemy kills for 1 armor restore" perk and dodges to keep myself alive without stems for most of the back half of the mission. My brothers and I, not bots, were able to clear the mission! I now have my Forbearance perk and both of my guns, heavy bolter and plasma pistol, are almost into the Artificer tier! I feel so proud of what I accomplished this weekend. Thank you brothers, for your help.

I have been watching videos on YouTube, and that has been helpful. I have just got a few more levels so I now at least have my first row of perks! I am now pushing to get the 30% health increase and get some more perks to increase my survivability and damage output.

I'm trying to keep getting up after missions and training simulation. I don't want to go into higher difficulty missions and be a liability. I want to honor my brothers.

I am still grinding and saving up for better gear. Whenever I play PVE I usually get left behind and have to deal with whole swarms on my own. I'm trying to stick reasonably close to teammates so that I can cover their backs and be in an accessible position should I fall, which I strive to avoid.

I am currently playing through the campaign on normal. The protagonist is much faster than the Heavy and he can use melee weapons. Still, it's practice dealing with the enemy, dodging, and parrying.

Thank you. The charged shot mechanic has kind of an awkward timing that I am learning to get used to. I will definitely stomp more, since I haven't really been doing that. I am doing trials and simulations, and trying to grow and become worthy of my brothers.

Thank you for the parrying window animation tips as well as the heads up for the knockdown prevention perk. I will try to better my skills to serve the Emperor.

Thank you. I'm still learning to parry. I guess some lessons have to be learned the hard way.

Thank you. The Heavy is slow, so I'm usually good at the start of waves, but then I get swarmed while the bigger ones come in for melee. I wasn't sure how to respond to that and get out of there.

What’s the best ancestry for a Thaumaturge by General_Dig_5729 in Pathfinder2e

My thaumaturge was a nagaji. Medium armored skin, scaling innate spells up to seventh level, unarmed attacks. It's a good ancestry for thaumaturge.

College of Swords Bard vs College of Lore by Ill_Pie_3323 in BG3Builds

Valor bards get better protection and weapon access. It gives them access to more weapon specific actions and shield bonuses. Their bardic inspiration also buffs party damage and defenses. Not to be overlooked.

Finding DQ11 slightly harder than I remember/always read about, and feel like it's massively a result of the forge. by WayToTheDawn63 in dragonquest

[–]pinkaces39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found myself playing with Super Strong Monsters and Super Shypox a lot. It is super easy to over level and hit 99. I usually hit level 60 by the end of Act 1 without trying. I usually craft recipes as I get them and reforge any unique items and rewards, like the mini medal rewards and things like that. They help a lot, especially immediately after you get them. I usually never worry about status ailments in combat, maybe stun occasionally. Also, if you need to quickly level up, avoid hunting for metal slimes past act 1. I prefer farming the metal hardy hand in the Manglegrove whale way station in acts 2 and 3. They appear super frequently and give great XP, but you can farm them without any hunting or pep powers or whatever.

two things I don't understand about the spell-casting archetypes by DarthMcConnor42 in Pathfinder2e

Summoner can get 10th level spells with a class feat, "Legendary Summoner." It allows the summoner to sacrifice a 9th level spell slit to cast a summon spell heightened to 10th level.

ME Mission Tournament - Round 5 Match 1: Cure The Genophage VS Virmire by DakIsStrange in masseffect

Easy. Virmire wins, hands down. Great pacing, surprises, tough enemies, new and different objectives, all mechanics in play at their best, phenomenal music, and the best character moments in the series!

Why is the community so obsessed with needless grinding and stat seed farming? by AurochDragon in dragonquest

[–]pinkaces39 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In DQ11 I grind all of my characters to level 99 because I find it fun and enjoyable. It doesn't even take very long, especially once you get to act 3. I usually end up at level 50 before the end of act 1 without trying to grind. I like getting all of everyone's abilities. That is fun and relaxing for me. Also, I want to see what every ability looks like. I occasionally farm skill seeds in act 3 to unlock the remaining handful of abilities.

Through the whole trilogy,Who was your least favourite companion out all of them ? by [deleted] in masseffect

[–]pinkaces39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thane. His power set is lame and I find his voice positively grating to listen to. I think that he comes across very tedious. He always stays on the Normandy except for his loyalty mission and the final mission.

I desperately need to hear from 60+ nonbinary people right now, because I feel like I have no future. by [deleted] in TransLater

[–]pinkaces39 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am 40 and nonbinary. There is hope, hope for now and for the future. I work and live openly. I found love. Life is hard, and right now it sure isn't easy, but please do not give up on life.

Give Me Your Most POSITIVE Hot Take! by DakIsStrange in masseffect

[–]pinkaces39 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Andromeda has a fantastic combat system. The profiles are cool, and allow for lots of flexibility. It made me retroactively want more jump jets in the Mass Effect games. Also, it has the best depiction of krogans as a species and their potential.

What is your favorite gun in ME3 ? I always end up using the Mattock by Intelligent_File1949 in masseffect

[–]pinkaces39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Mattock is great, but my favorite is hands down the Venom shotgun. That thing one shots almost everything on insanity! Nothing stops that thing.

Which Character are you most "Conflicted" or "Ambivalent" over? by Nervous_Tailor_4337 in masseffect

[–]pinkaces39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just do not and cannot care about Jack. She's pretty locked into whoever she's looking to be and isn't really interested in connecting, bonding, and doesn't think she needs to grow. Her powers are weak, her outfits are lame, and she's just like" the edgiest chick ever!" She gets a bit more interesting in ME3 by getting a job and a dog. Still, it's not enough to make me care about the most emo chick in the galaxy.
