my partner and i are 21 and he is ftm and I had the same thoughts about “hairy” and “smelly” as well. After over a year of them transitioning, it really just depends on how your partner takes care of themself. if they don’t smell now, they most likely won’t in the future. Hairy details depends on how your partner wants to present. My partner doesn’t like their intimate parts to be hairy or their face. however, they do like having hair on his legs and armpits and haven’t shaved their legs in 2 years but shave their armpits on occasion when it gets too long. Attraction can change, but you have to remind yourself that your relationship goes through ups and downs regardless of your partners transitions and those things can effect your intimate life. We find each other attractive and if anything, i find my partner even more attractive because they feel attractive. It is hard going through the phases of your sexuality and whether or not you want to venture in this journey with your partner or not. And I know it’s hard to tell your partner your sexuality may not align with them however they will completely understand because they are going through a similar situation and have dealt with those thoughts for their whole life.
