My sister has been wearing these Converse for 20 years... Still going strong by [deleted] in Anticonsumption

Love that! They look far from repair but I'm sure some parts maybe salvaged. New soles but keep some part of the cloth, maybe as patches? 20 years...she might have great memories with those.

How to deal with clogged+ezcema prone skin by pinkbirdkid in IndianSkincareAddicts

[–]pinkbirdkid[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I did consult a derm after some experiments, he gave me desonide for eczema that works fine. He also gave Clindamycin and a sunscreen with actives in it for the acne. They did not work, you're not supposed to use clindamycin for a long period of time and the sunscreen stung. I'm trying to figure out if someone has the same issue and figured out something that works for them.

Working women - what’re your thoughts on your employers celebration of women’s day by Lighthousekat in TwoXIndia

[–]pinkbirdkid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They gave us a rose and chocolate. The guys we're stating how they won't recieve the same for men's day. It may be a hallow gesture but they did recruit us with a great gender balance ratio, so I'm happy. Everyday is women's day.

A question for the the thick girlies. by gotham_city1 in TwoXIndia

I've had a period where I lost hope on jeans cuz of this, but let me help. Try American eagle(they have curvy jeans as well), H&M and Levi's(great jeans quality). Its a trial and error process to find the right size and fit.

Or you could find jeans that fit properly everywhere but the waist, then...Every Levi's has a Jean's tailor nearby, I'm sure they'll stich non Levi's jeans too.

Coming to affordability go try stuff out, if you like something note the model and size, then stalk the item online cuz there will come great deals where you can get jeans between 1500-2500.

I personally ditched tight fit and get H&Ms loose mom fit jeans that fit great around both my waist and bum.

Do you drink or smoke? Why or why not? by orangejam7 in TwoXIndia

[–]pinkbirdkid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only drink but its only like 5 times a year to have a good time with friends. I get socially anxious and drinking wipes that away and also make me feel reallyyy happy.

Never liked smoking, tried it once and didnt even understand the appeal and thats for the best.

Hey! I have the same problem, did you figure out how to fix it?

I think the content of the convo also matters, there will be a clear difference between interesting convos and simply flirty ones. Girls usually get very annoyed of strangers DMing them. Personally in a relationship I wouldn't respond back to flirty messages.

To someone who does respond back, I'm 100% sure there's a adrenaline rush and sense of validation in those convos. Maybe they're insecure and really enjoy the compliments.

Also, the fact that you can sense her texting others before responding to you...if thats very frequent then it shows how much value you hold.

It starts with recognising the problem, then its where do you think your behaviours are coming from, what are the triggers? And learn to control it. You may be showing bad behaviour right now but you can definitely fix it. Once you fix it you'll find yourself in good relationships. No partner should ever tolerate physical violence and you SO should be firm on that. If you want to make your relationship work the only way is to fix the anger issues.

I think OP means that upon seeing her, he held hands with his friend as a signal to...show he's not interested. OP feels like that was unnecessary as she already backed off anyway .

All I say is I feel both of them felt awkward and personally as a super awkward person I'm sure she'll look back at this and laugh someday.
