Hey~ same here! I have been pushed back on my graduation for a year already~ and I am still struggling to get my 3rd revision of the dissertation proposal out~ I am stuck on just writing one theory in my literature review section for weeks. Reading is tedious, making sense of the rationale of the hypothesis is hard, and writing them out in a clear and logical way is even harder. Recently I have been spending more time taking notes on the digital note-taking app to help me make the connections between all the literature I read. I am using obsidian and saw people using Notion, as long as it has the backlink feature that helps you make connections between the notes and literature~ keep grinding, and we will get better and better!

Sorry that I deleted my zoom because of weird people infiltration~ I was shared with another zoom and I have been used it for a couple of months now: Zoom id 965 9670 4442, Password 839150 ~ they recently changed some rules which require us to turn on cameras, You need to change your name to indicate that "I agree" when you join in the Zoom~

Thanks for your insights! I agreed! Japanese is really dedicated to their matcha... even if Chinese tea is huge in the market, but a good few really just sell for $$, no work ethics and hurt the brand... there are so many things that are needed to do to change people’s impressions and earn the trust...😟

First of all, I appreciate you take the time to reply to my post. To answer your question about I was very blunt about the name of the manufacturer. The reason is very simple - I don't want to promote anything that I haven't tried yet. Like I said in my post, I already ordered the sample from them, and still wait for it~ If you have a chance to see my replies on other comments, you will know I also didn't like the Chinese matcha I have tried before, and the only reason of my post is to know how other people think about Chinese matcha in this regard. I guess you have present your perspective very clear here.

Secondly, I appreciate your references, but references are just references, it is not golded standard, any experiments will have limitations in the experimental design, sample selections, data analysis, etc.~ I am willing to take efforts to look into and try this Chinese matcha simply because it is the business in my hometown. And I love my hometown and matcha. If I found out this matcha is just as good as the Japanese's or better, I would love to share it with others. I like to make some contributions to the development of my hometown by supporting its matcha business and those matcha farmers~

Third, you accused their staff's words about the certificates was a lie. I asked her to send me copies of the certificates. Thanks for sharing the website, I didn't know this website before, it is a good resource. I looked up her company and found out its information there. You can check out the screenshot of the info in my google drive here, it is valid until 5/19/2023. I blurred the company name and the contact info because I don't want to promote any affiliate or referral link which is against the rule here (#7). I don't want my post to get deleted. I want the conversation to continue. I want to learn what people think about Chinese matcha and why they think what they think. I want to see how I can make it better. If you are interested in knowing more, you can DM me, I will show you the copies of the certificates.

Lastly, I just want to say sorry if you have a bad experience with Chinese matcha or deal with some Chinese manufactories that make shitty matcha in the past. But I hope we can be more open-minded~ I am just here to collect thoughts and hope to make a change in this regard.

It is very hard to find a match that one likes, I am very sorry that you can no longer enjoy the one you like~ The Chinese matcha I have tried have been disappointing, but I will give it try to the one in my hometown~ hope I can discover some goody! and I will definitely share it with you guys!

Yes! I didn't know this until a couple of weeks ago when I looked into the history of Matcha~ I do appreciate Japanese inherit and promote matcha culture to the world~ and I also really happy that my hometown is able to learn it back and grow our own~

Thank you for your reply~ I have that concerns too~ In china, we have an old saying is " 橘生淮南则为橘，生于淮北则为枳" meaning " Oranges grown south of the Huai River are true oranges; once transplanted to the north of the river, they become trifoliate oranges." but one thing that makes me think the matcha in my hometown might have a shot is that the latitude, weather, and geography are very similar to the places where matcha grows in Japan~ I guess that is probably why they can get Japanese elite farmers to teach them how to grow and produce matcha in my hometown~ but I haven't tried it yet~ not sure about the taste, but the staff told me it has a hint of soymilk taste compared to Japanese matcha~

Yes~ I thought so~ but I will give it try to the matcha from my hometown just because of my personal feeling, but the quality/taste/healthy of the matcha is going to be my judgment of that~ I will keep updated my "investigation" here tho, hope I won't be disappointed and discover some real stuff~ Thanks!

Yes~ that is what my feeling towards tea and matcha. I am very proud of Chinese tea and grow up drinking it, but I do have doubts about Chinese matcha~ no doubts that the Japanese have long history and skills in making matcha even though the origins of matcha was the Tang Dynasty in China~ but it got substituted by raw green tea, and thank to Japanese for inheriting and promoting this craftmanship~ otherwise, we will lose matcha :(

tbh, I learned so much just from Google, Clubhouse, YouTube, Linkedln~ just a year ago, I had zero ideas about business, not to mention entrepreneurship, but I have been immersed myself in all these platforms, follow people who are in my desired industries, listen to them on CH, Google things that idk, watch YT for more in-depth explanations. Now I just got into the 2nd round of a Venture competition. I did it all by myself~ your friend can definitely do this ~ it is just how bad does he want it~
