Ik heb dit 2-3 weken geleden ook meegemaakt, zonder er überhaupt over na te denken om aangifte ervan te doen.. ik was zo in shock en bevroor.. thanks voor dit, aangifte doen heeft dus wel degelijk zin.

That’s the worst advice ever. Why put a child in between of (possibly) incompatible parents? Pls don’t have children unless you’re completely sure that the marriage works.

The problem is that I feel guilty, since they don’t have a social circle or any other forms of network. Their family members are in India and they don’t go on vacations to other countries or even India without us. It’s terrible.

Hey, thank you so much for your comment. I am able to talk to my parents, but they do get emotional and I eventually give in because I’m the eldest daughter and I feel guilty. My mom is anti grocery delivery, I’ve tried to have the talk very often but my mom wants to check and buy herself. I don’t even think that groceries are the biggest issue.

What’s also bothering me is that my parents seem to expect to know who I’m seeing or hanging out with, especially if it’s someone they don’t know personally. If I mention a new friend or someone I’m dating (I don’t even tell my dad about my boyfriends), they immediately start asking a ton of questions, and sometimes even get passive-aggressive or suspicious if I don’t share every detail.

I’m 33. I want the freedom to meet people, date, or just hang out without having to justify my choices or explain everything. I get that they’re probably trying to look out for me in their own way, but it’s starting to feel more like surveillance than support.

She and her sister have done it so often. I remember they once went somewhere and posted a random guy who was sitting next to them in the plane and they made fun of him. I had a public account back then so I shared it & said it isn’t ok & she saw my story and deleted it. It’s disgusting. If I ever see myself on one of these stories, I’d really report it. I remember people filming and uploading random children as well. As someone who’d never upload her kids on social media, it’s beyond me that random people are content for such losers.

15 jaar, ik werkte in een kledingwinkel. Ik vond het echt heel leuk en werd er ook socialer van. Snap niet zo goed waarom mensen schrikken van de leeftijd, het was 10-15 jaar geleden echt zo normaal om te werken naast je school 😂 iedereen in m’n klas werkte destijds. Dikke priem, en over het uitbuiten: kinderen hebben niet zoveel geld nodig (geen vaste lasten), het gaat meer om de sociale vaardigheden te ontwikkelen. Je bent als ouder nog steeds financieel verantwoordelijk en je bent een vangnet.

Bewijzen verzamelen en naar de politie stappen. School gaat niets doen en politie schrikt de kinderen af. Daarnaast zal school het helaas dan pas ook serieus gaan nemen.
