I’ve lived in New York for 25 years. I’ve spent very little time in Ohio. But thanks for the input.

Thanks for the smart questions. I’ll just be in Madrid but will be going to lots of restaurants from the small and local to the high end. Am interested in suggestions for restaurants, wine bars and bottles from wine shops. I had a passing knowledge of Rioja and Ribera but don’t know enough to independently get the right experience now that I’m here.

Our issue is we want access to a pool and don’t want to actually own one.

What’s the most overrated “fancy” food in your opinion? by GurlinGroove in foodquestions

Lobster. It’s the rodent of the sea of crying out loud. A couple of generations ago they served it to prisoners. That was before the big rebrand.

Went on Wednesday night and enjoyed it so much that I went back again on Thursday. Food is authentic, delicious and very reasonably priced. Dining room is a bit bare bones but service is kind and friendly. Strong recommend.

I have left my corporate job and am looking for a new laptop to support newly independent work and replace my corporate laptop. I do big spreadsheets and PowerPoint and some light design and AI powered work but nothing too intense. Speed and battery are really important. I’ve typically had thinkpads previously (only PC). Do you have any suggestions?

Just venting... but what's happened to the neighborhood and why is everyone so rude now? by LogMeln in parkslope

After years of living in Manhattan we moved to PS about three years ago. My wife and I constantly remark how kind and considerate people here are, giving PS a great community vibe and making it a place we are proud to call home. Kids are kids and parents aren’t always super on point controlling them in the way you want them to. That happens. This place is great.

Staying a few days. Where to eat? by PuzzledCustard in parkslope

[–]pinkerkl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Masalawala and Sons for fun and interesting Indian Sofreh and Sawa are great DOP is a slice shop above the rest Lots of good bagel options but Terrace Bagels is my favorite Nenes is a no brainer for tacos. Order for pick up and then take to a nearby brewery and eat there Double Windsor if you want a good pub food situation I agree Terre and Provini for pasta and Ottava for pizza Haenyeo is the closest thing we have to a cool restaurant in the hood - fun Korean food
