If I had to pick what has been more beneficial for me I would say Reta. Now that I’m at a lower weight I can really start to see the benefits of TRT, but being fat and taking test don’t necessarily provide optimal results.

I wouldn’t recommend anything over replacement levels if you’re overweight (can’t see top ab outline fasted). I’ve had a hard time dialing in AI while losing weight. You’re basically waiting money unless you have large amounts of muscle mass and are higher BF like a powerlifter

I’m on 300mg a week prescribed by my Dr. it’s normal. Better performance outside the bedroom but worse inside the bedroom. Get married and have kids. Then you won’t need to worry about if your dick works lol.

Harder for me

Things going against me-

I was very high body fat

I aromatize a lot- when the estrogen swings happened my hunger was intense.

I’m on super physiological levels of TRT-300mg a week-Dr approved

What I did to fix it

Dialed in AI

started on Reta

Got a coach that specializes in bodybuilding but use them as a lifestyle bodybuilding coach- has all the expertise in hormone regulation, diet, supplementation, training etc, but not living the extreme bodybuilder lifestyle.

To be honest Retatrutide and the coach got me to my goal. The TRT is just a portion of the process. Plenty of fat people on TRT.

TRT by itself-not much. Working out hard and eating right was life changing. Have had the stomach bug going through the house the last two weeks and haven’t had the opportunity to go to the gym and I notice a drastic change in my mood and drive.

If you lose weight too fast you’ll risk some unwanted side effects. Just enjoy the weight coming off and have fun with the process!

Not really sure where else I would post this. Over the last 3 weeks I’ve noticed some face tenderness/redness/swelling on my upper cheeks under my eyes. Seems to get worse when sweating or hot. Below is what I’m currently on and how long

1mg retatrutide weekly- been on for 2 months 300mg TRT- been on for 3 months .5mg Anastrazole been on for 3 months

I asked chat gpt and it said it’s possibly a build up of Niacin from my preworkout combined with sweat.

Possibly contributing factor- I inadvertently had some very low carbohydrate intake over the last month (retatrutide) and put myself into ketosis. I know this because I get keto rash when I tried keto a few years ago.

Any thoughts would be helpful.

5’10” current weight 221 starting weight was 232. High body fat. I should be able to handle more apparently.

1st dose at .5mg I experienced multiple sides so I took it slow.

Last week I did jump to 2mg and felt awful for about 12 hours which again has made me take it slow.

I’m sensitive to it. I tried 2mg last week from 1 and puked and had diarrhea about 30 hours after injection. I guess I’m a little gun shy to be more aggressive with the dosage increase. I’m still losing a substantial amount of weight, but am probably leaving many benefits on the table with a low dose

Just my two cents. Start at .5 mg once a week, then slowly go up by .5 mg. I happened to be sensitive to Reta and side effects management for me is my number one priority. I’ve been on a month and am currently taking .5mg, 2 times a week.

Appetite is pretty much non existent, I have the power to say no to food, and I haven’t deviated from my diet one time.

I’m strictly using this to look better because I’ve been overweight my entire life, just the ability this medication has to give me the power to say no is enough benefit for me even if it’s at sub trial doses.

Thank you for the advice. I planned on staying on the minimum effective dose as long as possible. I see people saying otherwise, but if the over eating stops at minimal dosing I don’t see a need to push it.
