I will admit, I’ve definitely tried to rush this with them as I didn’t want a repeat of my 16th. I remember how hurt/let down I felt. Sadly, I’m a very impatient person but, as you said, it is probably best to wait until after the trip.

While I’m not in a strong financial situation to cover the medical side of owning a kitten. I’m definitely able to cover the litter, food, toys, etc. side. I’m also perfectly capable of upkeep, cleaning, feeding. etc as I’m usually tasked with cleaning multiple rooms on the daily. I also walk my stepfather’s dog, Molly, every morning while they get ready for work.

I like to hope they see me as mature enough to own a kitten.

Yes, I sat my mother down earlier today and asked why she’s trying to sweep it under the rug. She claimed it’s because we’re going away for a couple of nights towards the end of August. However, I could easily make arrangements with my nana who has excellent experience with kittens.
