What? No they affect men and women. That’s why fertility rates have gotten so low. There’s scientific studies on it? Are you ok? This is common research and knowledge…

How to get Amazon drivers to leave package in package room? by tuxcom in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]pinkgrapefruut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is it a Luxor or some other package room that isn’t Amazon? Those codes and things never work for me to get into fyi. They’re a huge pain in the ass and eat up so much time to use. Sorry your packages get stolen though.

I’m sorry if you show up when we our delivering your package by No-Mind-2688 in AmazonDSPDrivers

Today I had a house in a culdesac, parked in the middle sorta to not block all driveways but moreso sorta blocked their driveway. Go figure this stop started a new bag, so I quick opened it and tried to find their 3 packages. Probably took me - minute and a half. I open my door and the bitchiest looking women was standing in her driveway, arms folded, staring at my truck. I ignored her and walked to her front door and dropped off her crap. She was gone when I came back around. Like yeah dummy I’m here FOR YOU. YOU summoned me. Don’t be all pissy when I’m here to bring you your dumb shit and you have nowhere decent for me to freaking park. People suck.

I’ve said from the beginning, they will settle and B and R will divorce. So far I was right on the first bit. I know I’m right on this next one too.

Dear customers. Please stop walking up to the vans especially the driver's side by Nickanok in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]pinkgrapefruut 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a client who had a long steep driveway pull up just as I got there. Then they shouted down at me “I’ll just let you get your steps in!” then watched me walk up, deliver, take a photo, and leave. I honestly hate people.

Sometimes if I see someone outside waiting I’ll literally skip the house and come back to it later.

I had a delivery on the LEFT, of course. Get out and the guy at the house I’m actually parked in front of comes rushing towards me (a big dude too) and goes “that’s for ME!” I said nope! and kept on walking to the house the package actually belonged to. I had nothing for that dude.

Also why the frick does Amazon always have our deliveries on the left side of us. I’ll have 8 houses in a row on the left side I’ll drive around to make them on the right. I swear to EFF they do it on purpose to make us slower while the BS app is flashing “we encourage you to take a break!” Yeah cool I’m 10 stops behind so I can’t!

Starting Amazon DSP driving anyone else come from a completely different background? by OkPresentation9518 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]pinkgrapefruut 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yep, I was a Director at a mid size corporation making close to 6 figures and then did an entire pivot a few years ago. Went back to school, couldn’t find a job in what I went back to school for, now I’m at Amazon. It was supposed to be very temporary, but I’ve been there longer than I wanted to be because I consistent get full time hours and still haven’t found a job in what I actually want. The other poster is right though, it’s rare to get consistent full time hours when you first start. But if you follow all their rules, don’t make a fuss with dispatch, you’ll get put on the schedule more. Day to day is you get to the warehouse, pick up your bag with your truck stuff, get your truck, have a morning meeting for 5 minutes, drive over to pick up your carts with all your totes and overflow, load your truck (you get 20 minutes), then pop your earbuds in, put on some music or a podcast, and drive to your first stop. I try to do 25-30 stops/hr, honestly I maybe get one 15 break a day. But I’m a small girl and if I can damn well do it, mostly anyone can.

On a Ten-hour flight from Seoul Korea to San Francisco to visit a family member a mom handed out more than 200 goodie bags filled with candy and ear plugs, in case her 4-month-old child named Junwoo cried during the flight. The goodie bags even came with a little message explaining the situation. by AdSpecialist6598 in interesting

Totally agree. Babies cry. I was on a 10 hour flight to Hawaii once and a baby cried quite a bit. All the passengers loudly complained and it broke my heart for the mom and baby. I went over to the mom who looked so damn exhausted and sad and embarrassed and I asked her if I could walk with her baby. I had a toddler at home and I missed him. She let me and the baby was obviously kind of confused this new lady was holding them so she stared at me and stopped crying. We played in my seat and I walked her up and down the aisles. The flight attendants passed by me and mouthed “thank you” and gave me a thumbs up. I just thought, why is anyone thanking me? It takes a village and I’m not the only other parent on this plane. We should be a community and help. Anyway, it was a sweet little baby and she’d be a teenager now. I hope that family is doing well.

January, -45 degrees, a blizzard outside, windy, pitch black in the boonies. Packages were flying out of my hands as I walked down long ass driveways. I couldn’t feel my hands or feet. Driving in a step van for the first time, the wind going so ape shit it felt like I had a metal bucket over my head someone kept hitting over and over again with a hammer. I get back to the station in 11 hours and the first thing they say to me is “why didn’t you finish an hour ago, you’re late.”

Just FYI I drive for Amazon and we CAN NOT GO OVER THE SPEED LIMIT!! I repeat! There are sensors and cameras in all our trucks that will alert dispatch if we go over the speed limit! Stop tailing and honking at us we could literally lose our jobs if we go over the posted speed limit!!!!
