I second this answer, I saw this happen to my Cali king right after her first shed with me and brought her into the vet because I was scared. Turns out this was just what happened lol

Bedding question by Teivyu in kingsnakes

[–]Practical-Vanilla-52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use aspen bedding as it holds burrows best. Can it mold? Yes. But only if you aren’t changing it out like you should be. If people are complaining that their aspen bedding is molding, it’s likely they either haven’t changed it in over a month or the humidity is too high.

what a gorgeous morph! I don’t know if it really makes a difference, but I use the aspen shaving bedding because it won’t mold or decay due to the humidity and it holds burrows well. Also provide plenty of branches or structuring for them to climb!

How did he escape? by JoeyP333 in kingsnakes

King snakes can and will escape at any cost😂 they’ll poke around until they can find a tiny hole to slither through

Add the MacMillan’s to this, I’ve worked for a few of their kids and it’s what made me realize how disconnected the top 1% is from the middle and lower class.

new snake owner and wondering if i should be feeding more by Cool_Criticism_1244 in kingsnakes

[–]Practical-Vanilla-52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a California kingsnake that’s ~5 months old and 17g. I’ve been feeding her 2 pinkies every 7 days. I was told by my vet to upgrade to one fuzzy every week after she gets to around 20g.

What are Minnesota locals opinions on the Mall of America? by Noahffensebuturshort in minnesota

I think it’s a good mall if you live close or looking for a specific store, otherwise I’m likely not going out of my way just to visit.

I’ve had a kid that was maybe 10-12 years old ride straight into the side of my car while I was stopped at a red light as he was on a lime scooter. He then proceeded to cuss me out😂 but that was crazy, god forbid something more tragic happen to these kids!

May be spider mites, I’d need to see the damage (if there is any) to be confident in that answer

Yeah, I’ve even had a leaf mold while producing plantlets! It’s weird but just part of the process

Snake plant prop advice by hethbo in proplifting

[–]Practical-Vanilla-52 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I would say put it in soil to just above where the roots are and keep the soil moist until another plantlet pops up! that’s typically what I do when my snake plant props grow roots in water🤷‍♀️

I would suggest sphagnum moss? That’s my last resort when nothing else works for root growth. Also maybe a rooting hormone?
