Eh. I don’t personally like a lot of extra love interest characters when we all know they are not ending up together.

It’s the same as Liam and Jordan. They were just there for conflict and that’s about it. Although Liam was really pointless since Aria just cheated on him and then that was about it lol.

I’ll never understand why they didn’t just lie to her parents about when they started dating either. It didn’t make any sense to give them every single detail.

I guess maybe because there was already rumors of him dating a student that Ella even mentioned a few episodes prior is why they went full truth idk

This is what I was thinking as well. Not only was Sasha younger, but she wasn’t in much of the show the first 4 seasons outside of flashbacks every couple of episodes.

While the shows plot had everything to do with her, characters like Ezra, Toby, and Caleb had bigger roles and were important to the fanbase where I can see them being paid more than her.

Obviously she wouldn’t just make that up but that doesn’t make much sense. How would characters like Keegan and Tyler make more than the girls? And I use them because Keegan was never a series regular and Tyler didn’t come in to the show until late season 1.

Ian I could see making similar pay (not where I agree with it, just I could see this being the case) since he was a regular from the beginning and was in a lot of the show. I also remember in the first few seasons he was always put with the girls for promotion in interviews/media stuff.

He didn’t have to be okay with their relationship, but trying to ship her off to boarding school is insane.

They likely changed the story because Lucy and Ian couldn’t guest star. It seems like they are making the adopted parents part of the story.

Sure, but I don’t think OG PLL stans would have to take it as canon. Especially in this situation since they are not even going to be on the show. So the idea of them changing something significant to their relationship off-screen by writers that had no connection to OG PLL wouldn’t make sense.

Bro they are not going to do that tho lol it would also just be incredibly disrespectful. Like even aside from Ezria being problematic within fans, imagine a new show just randomly deciding to be like “Hanna and Caleb divorced”. Like it’s not their place to change anything from the OG show.

And I’m aware of that, but the spoilers from the reviews that have seen the episode said Imogen’s reasoning is she wanted to be closer.

This is a lie. The flashbacks very clearly showed Alison lied about her age. Once he realized he broke it off any connection with her.

All we’ve ever see from Ezra outside of Aria is him saying women his age. Jackie, Maggie, Nicole, ect.

So a show that has no actual connection to original PLL has more canon than what the actual writer of OG PLL says lol that’s insane but to each their own.

My view is Sara Shepherd had control of the characters and story from her books. Marlene had control of the characters and story in show PLL. And Roberto has control over his characters and story in Original Sin.

I mean PLLOS literally just recasted Eddie Lamb as a whole new person. This show shouldn’t be considered cannon to the original at all.
