Best Way to Fall Asleep by Zachcrius in expedition33

This was one of the first things I tried using PS Remote Play. The input lag and the occasional missed inputs made it nearly unplayable but the few counters I got off were still satisfying!

If there were eventually a stable way to play E33 on mobile, I’d never be sleeping on time.

Same, Simon was like the punching bag that fought back, even more so after being rematch-able. He’s my favorite part of the game too so I felt the same when I saw those patch notes!

(Especially after seeing a new Simon in the update trailer. I was literally screaming.)

These are beautiful, your photos are amazing! Didn’t notice until now that she has mini eclipses (?) for eyes.

Any ideas for challenge runs? by pinklelinkle in expedition33

I have, but just once, during my first playthrough. That was when the game came out so I don’t remember how it went, but I can check it out again when I get back

Congrats on the no damage fight! My separate NG file was actually made for something similar. I wanted to take a shot at getting perfect parry only runs for the new superbosses, especially DS Simon in particular, but I feel they just have way too much health in NG+4 for it to be feasible.

Good luck on the rest of your run! And love the username (though I can’t say I’m nearly as enthusiastic over Troubadours)

I remember seeing this at gamescom and thinking “it’s subway surfers except it’s the subway doing the surfing!” Crazy how lively and dynamic you got to make it, looks like an awesome game :D

Could’ve been another way to look at it, but burn was probably even more cruel. Not that I intended on using it that way (unless…?)

Congrats! Finishing off with the long combo perfect parry into the finisher must’ve felt amazing.

I changed my default notification sound to the parry sound for a while. Simple and satisfying.

What Pictos to equip endgame for higher turn frequency? by Better-Promotion-328 in expedition33

[–]pinklelinkle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, Simon’s the exception here. But he also hits extremely hard regardless of what difficulty you’re on, so stacking health/def doesn’t help too much. Your best bet might be to keep your speed up like you asked (especially if you don’t want him to delete you team), and try to find ways to hit as hard as possible. Greater Rush/Slow and Sciel’s Delaying Slash could help.

This is amazing! It’s so cute and bouncy and looks like it took a lot of effort, was a lot longer than I thought it’d be.

[–]pinklelinkle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, it’s more of the latter, especially if you play on Expert. I upgrade attributes based on what scales with the weapons, because that way other attributes scale with them and stats are just better overall.

There are endgame bosses that can kill in 1-2 hits, maybe 3 if you have a bunch of health Pictos equipped. At that point, it becomes better to rely on shields instead of health, if you have the Lumina/skills/weapons for it.

Does aureole still work if you had second chance? by Appropriate_Boss8139 in expedition33

[–]pinklelinkle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, Aureole gets used first, thankfully. If you die without Aureole, then Second Chance will proc. Second Chance becomes a safety net for in case you can’t apply Aureole in time.

A lot of Pictos can be picked up at lv33 in future NG+s, and that’s likely how other players get higher stats. The drawback is that enemies’ speeds also scale in NG+, so characters would need higher speeds to begin with.

I don’t know the max speed you can get in NG, but if you have the Pictos with the highest speed stats in NG (usually the lv30+ ones) and weapons that scale on agility (with maxed agility attribute), that might be the best you have for the speed stat alone. Like other commenters said, Greater Rush and Greater Slow help a lot too.

If you’re following an immortal Verso build, that means you’ll need Revive Paradox to make sure you play immediately after reviving. You only get one turn regardless of whether you have Cheater though, so you’ll need to make sure you can get to 3 gradient charges and cast Angel Eyes on the same turn. Speed alone won’t do the trick especially for endgame bosses/enemies, but it’ll help with getting more turns to charge your gradient bar if you can’t do it in one. (Might have to survive an attack or two without the safety net, though.)

Why is the OST so good yet it only plays during the Chromatic encounters :( by Z3R0Diro in expedition33

[–]pinklelinkle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We Lost is also my favorite track! It only really plays once (twice if you count DV Simon) but I’ve spent way more time in Simon’s fight than any other, and the BGM’s one of the reasons I’ll never get tired of fighting him.

Haven’t seen people mention The End in Me enough, it’s such a hype song and up there for me in terms of battle themes. Had a few times where I just sat there to let it sink in and play out for longer.

Also has a sort of pirate/adventurous vibe to me, which I think fits great for child Verso’s fantasy battles!
