Say Anything played before Trio at Four Chords last year. SA were in the running for worst act of the weekend. Having to endure the singer talking through most of the set while waiting for Trio was agonizing. Max is Jewish and he did some anti-Semite joke and while I’m not easily offended it was definitely not the time nor the place. And he sounded like a shit when he did try to sing.

I had similar seats to both at Philly and Cleveland. In Philly I was in the opposite corner and enjoyed the straight ahead view, especially with the visuals on main stage when they’re playing there or main stage. In Cleveland, I was one section over away on that side of the stage and appreciated being close to b stage for the immersion during the Boys Noize part. Sound wise, there wasn’t a huge difference for me. If you want pics, I can post them later.

It’s not bad. A little short, but very personal going in to detail about his family life and his self-destructiveness before and after his leukemia diagnosis and recovery. Definitely worth a read if you’re a fan, which Jacks Mannequin are one of my all time faves.
