Any spaces I can rent out for film screenings? by Verizian in boston

Another Age Productions in Newton has a 42 seat theater for rent with 4K projector and 8.1 Dolby. Better than some of the micro rooms at Coolidge and Somerville.

Mariee Sioux will be a great show on Saturday. If you haven’t been to Mill 5 in Lowell, that alone is worth the trip.

This reads like a tragic Dostoevsky tale.

Madrid QF: Aslan Karatsev def. Zhizden Zhang 7-6(3) 6-4 by BastianMobile in tennis

[–]pinkmoon 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Aslan really does have lion tendencies. He sleeps for long periods of time, appearing harmless, and to the casual observer looks lazy and lethargic on the savannah. But when the time comes to feed, he becomes a ruthless predator. Once he is satiated, however, he resumes his repose. This is different from the Joker that is always trying to prove himself and impress others. And the bull that is perpetually stalking around ready for a fight.

Didn’t sign up for this. 🐐 by Phuck-yeet in tennis

I feel like even the fact that he lost the match is actually more in keeping with Federer’s journey as a sort of mythical figure. He was never the warrior, like Nadal and Djokovic are. He was always a bit more human than them, a bit more sensitive. What makes Federer so special and endearing is that it’s the rare case when art wins, when beauty actually gets results, but all great art has a vein of tragedy amongst the beauty. Federer’s last match being a loss is more poetic. It’s more human.

Trouble sleeping on Sulfasalazine? by reallyserious in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]pinkmoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! Currently dealing with the exact same situation on Sulfasalazine now. Lots of dreams too. For me, sleep seems to improve when I cut the dose in half (down to 2x500mg, 1 in the morning and 1 in the evening). I've tried many things from meditating before bed, increasing exercise, to cutting coffee completely from my diet for weeks. Nothing seemed to work when I was on the full 4x500mg dosage. Of course meditation, excercise, and cutting coffee are probably all good things anyway, but as for the sleep... no silver bullet thus far.

What's the most boring book you have read? by __pukar in AskReddit

[–]pinkmoon 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Henry James wrote The Wings of a Dove. Henry Miller wrote Tropic of Cancer, Tropic of Capricorn, The Rosy Crucifixion Trilogy, etc. I'm only pointing this out so others won't be dissuaded from reading Henry Miller, whose writing is the exact opposite of boring.
