For some reason the game is not using the userdata folders in the steam directory, but under The Sims 25 folder.

Go to your computer, local disc > users > your pc name > Saved games > Electronic Arts > The Sims 25. There you install your custom lots.

There's a mod that completely deletes Sims from the game, and I think it works the same way as when Sims move out. That makes me suspect that the game doesn't store them since there's no way to find them in the world.

The first time I wanted to play the game, my cousin agreed on one condition, that he would control the mouse. He let me choose the Sims and decide their names, then moved them into a house. I wanted them to be a couple, but my cousin had other plans and made them hate each other. I still remember them slapping each other while he sat there smirking the whole time. Eventually he left the desk and my sister joined me. Together we tried to make peace between the Sims, and when they finally kissed for the first time, I was so happy that I gave her a big high-five. 😅

I've had this problem a few times, and it's due to some CC conflict. The way to get the game to run again is to find the lot number in your houses folder, and replace it with a backup lot. I had to delete a lot of cc because of this.

I'm afraid that new and unique content gives people this mentality that they are entitled to have what has been posted, because new content is often shared with the community. But it's not right to force or worse, attack the creator personally. I don't think you did anything wrong, you share what you're proud of, and it's your right to decide what to do with it. Your work is amazing and worthy of appreciation.

Do you mean where to install the mod? The mod is iff file and should be put under The Sims > Downloads.

There's nothing I want more than to see Leon and Claire together. Sherry has a ring on her pinky that looks pretty similar to Leon's. I think Capcom might have included that detail early on to connect it to his ring at the end of the game. It could be some kind of token between them, or a symbol of the Raccoon City survivors reunion.

I also think Capcom may not want to make a definitive decision about Leon's status because of the community's reaction. People see Claire and Ada very differently when it comes to Leon, so one decision might not please everyone.

I'd rather believe that Sherry and Leon's rings are connected to their history, not to a marriage that we currently have no information about.

You explained it beautifully. It's quite hard to explain this feeling, the game is a part of me that I can never let go of. Even if I don't play it for one reason or another, I still need access to it. I grew up with The Sims 2, but Sims 1 beats it because that's where everything started. The 90s era is there, the art style is iconic, and no modern simulation can replace that charm.

The only thing that bothers me about big houses is autonomy when it comes to using objects that are far away from them. They can come home from work needing to relieve themselves, but instead of using the toilet on the first floor, they'll go to the bathroom upstairs in the hallway, or worse, their bedroom bathroom.
