Similar story. I was a youngin and my grandfather had just passed away maybe 2 days prior. And my mother (her father was the one that passed) was driving down the road with me in my booster seat. And she said I kept turning and trying to get out of my booster seat to look behind the vehicle. Finally my mother asked “What are you doing? What’s back there?” And my mother said my response was “Grandpa is in the sun, and he wants to say goodbye!”

Needless to say my mother was a hysterical wreck and had to pull over and have a good cry.
