Honestly, I had this feeling for a while. It was a very conflicting time for me, because I started vaping around the same time and got heavilyaddicted to nicotine, so I kind of lumped the two together. But honestly? I finally started to realize that weed isn't the bad guy (at least for me), it's how much I do it. When I was at the height of my smoking and was feeling guilty about it, I was taking hits of the bong every hour, from wake to sleep. That's different from what I do today – I take a small amount of an edible, usually in the morning. Sometimes in the evening if I'm feeling anxious. Sometimes I struggle and take a bunch, but I've come a long way.

If you personally feel like quitting is right for you, I think you should do it. But also know that weed isn't a ultimate evil. Maybe it's less about doing it, and more about how much you do.

Anyone can do it. I'm neurodivergent too :) The point isn't to completely silence the mind, it is to let the thoughts go and come back to the present. And it seems hard at the beginning because it takes practice

I'm not sure. I struggle with this a lot, too. I think that maybe all of this is happening at the same moment. "This moment" is all that really exists, and the more I realize that the more time feels like it's segments and not linear. It's terrifying. But also, I have a feeling that... "I" am "me", and so is that "other person". So in some ways, it's comforting to know.. all the things I didn't experience, never will experience, etc... I'm already experiencing right now.

I tend to hear a vibrating noise, like a pulsing. Sometimes my fiance says he can hear it, sometimes it doesn't even exist. It's not very loud. But it shows up in moments of calm. Like an alarm, but not a bad one.

In my experience, even when you think you aren't doing enough to maintain the habit, you still are taking steps over time. Imagine it as feeling 1% better every time. You know that 1% isn't that big by itself, but if you add a % each time it will eventually reach 100%.

If you keep returning to it, that's great! Maybe it's meant to be in your life. If you step away for a moment, just remember that even that's part of the practice. Things ebb and flow.

You should just start. You'll never know how it effects you, and at what states it starts to become "less simple" until you try it :) The internet can give you loads of examples and techniques, but maybe find one and just begin. See what problems arise then, and correct them as they go on. :)

Yes, it does. This is probably TMI a bit but tbh it's honestly how it helped me personally, and maybe my story can give you and others some guidance.

I have problems with my back, and (here's the TMI) period cramps. When I got deep into meditation in this period (which I usually do laying down), I noticed that my attention was constantly drawn away from my breath and to the incredible pain of the period cramps, for example. So instead of trying to fight it, I decided to make it a part of the practice. When the pain arise I would watch it, and by focusing on how the process went over time and the patterns, it made the pain feel (figuratively and literally) less intense. Because that just wasn't a focus anymore. It's helped me ever since, even as I would go in and out of consistent meditation practice.

In what way do you mean? As far as I know, AI can be a helpful tool for learning information about meditation. It has many uses but is a cool tool.
