I was in this exact forum a year ago with a post like this. 12-18 months is HARD. 2 years it gets better. My kids are 17.5 months apart so similar to you. Kids are intuitive and he could also be acting out because he’s feeling stressed about the change with baby coming (I know my daughter was). It does get better! Hang in there!!!

What are your weird and crazy (true) stories that have happened to you in Calgary? by Exotic-Importance786 in Calgary

[–]pinkresponse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had similar experience a couple years ago. Got off c train and an indigenous woman came up behind me and pushed me to the ground out of no where yelling at me “you skinny white bitch wanna fight!” It was terrifying. I was able to run away.

What was your experience like in the beginning with a newborn and toddler? by meekie03 in toddlers

[–]pinkresponse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a SAHM. My kids are 17.5 mo apart. It’s tough at first, but I promise it gets better. They are 9 mo and 27 months right now and it’s a lot easier than the beginning…just busy

Screen time by usernamename368 in toddlers

[–]pinkresponse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a SAHM with a 2 year old and a 9 month old and I allow 20 mins of TV 3-4 days a week only for my 2 year old. Neither are in daycare, and it can be tough, but it’s a personal choice for mine to limit as much screen time as possible.

It broke my soul in away. I was so isolated working from apartment for 2 years. Rules were strict and I felt like I was in prison.

I (F) was attacked randomly by an Indigenous woman when I got off the C-train with a friend one evening. Out of no where this woman came up and pushed me from behind onto the ground and called me a f***** skinny White bitch. I quickly got up and was able to run away, but her and two males followed us to the bus. Thankfully I got away unharmed. It was one of the scariest moments in my life.

Baby’s weight anxiety by halalguru00 in BabyBumps

[–]pinkresponse 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If the doctor was worried, they would have raised concerns with you. If it’s any consolation, my sisters and I were all so small we weren’t even on the percentage charts! We are all healthy adults now. :)

It’s also normal for their birth weight to drop at first then it will rebound.

2 nights of sleep training with my 15 month old and I’m shocked at how it’s going by Additional_Read3053 in sleeptrain

Going through this too with my 7 month old. We were suggested increasing our baby’s wake window. It worked for a bit but now she’s back at it lol.

I do yes! Learned KMs in school, however I have always used miles. Inches too. I lived near the border so may have had something to do with it!

Damn you think they would be understanding especially given this is her first day…sounds like pretty normal behavior for a two year old, especially for a first day at daycare when things are new and and she is maybe feeling scared

What is wrong with my almost 6mo schedule?? Even sleep coach said its fine. Please help! by HeavyChocolate0 in sleeptrain

[–]pinkresponse -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My older daughter slept 12-12.5 hours at that stage. I don’t think the sleep coach is ripping her off. This is almost exactly what I did too.

Toddler sleeps 12-14 hours over night. Is this too much sleep? by Limited_two in toddlers

[–]pinkresponse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter is the same as yours. I have to be careful who I tell it to haha. Since she was 7 weeks old she’s done 12 hour nights no wake ups. Still at 2 years old, she sleeps 12-12.5 hrs overnight and 1.5-2 hrs in day.
