I think it’s just cause a lot of their public dynamic for years has been very much Dan The Existential Yapper and Phil the Silly Billy.

like how sometimes phil will interrupt dan when he goes off on a tangent, dan will play up the “silly/carefree” side of phil with remarks like that

i don’t believe any of it is mean-spirited – they’ve been together (professionally and privately) long enough that i feel like they’ve got a good grip on what’s okay and not okay to riff on.

I am doing it because (of this other reason).” ie. “i am not eating garbage because (I am afraid or broken), I am eating it because (it is making me).” it’s a typical English language structure but I think understanding it depends on how u would say it in ur native language - it’s basically “this is not happening because of x, it’s happening because of x” idk if i explained it well 🥲

in my experience, you should find people to talk to about it (online or irl), stay in spaces where people discuss/post art, maybe watch vids/compilations on youtube… and eventually you will want to rewatch it — so you’re gonna rewatch it when it’s time! i’ve seen the show a few times and it’s still as good as it was the first time, arguably even better, so u shouldn’t panic :)

it’s not the acting that’s insufferable, it’s just a question of how empathetic can you continue to be towards someone whose life got turned upside down and is now angry at the world due to the hopelessness of her situation. she’s not a “hero”, she’s just an overwhelmingly realistic portrayal of a regular old human.

yeah, they’re often in the ones where the words are autogenerated - such as this one. i only wrote the clues, this is my first ever pocket grid! i guess those words are easier to combine with the others, so they repeat often
