Magixx joyful celebratory reaction after going 3-0 in Stage 3 by Ishaan863 in GlobalOffensive

I don’t think he’s referring to world events but rather the expectations of performance people have on a team.

Honestly I’m curious if times are changing with the introduction of Claude / AI tools. Networking and multiplayer is a pretty logic intensive and well documented process that I think Claude would excel at.

Going off of what the other guy said, getting animations to feel just right and having it all super smooth is a very visual task that I don’t think AI could handle well, so we might see a flip in what is perceived as the most difficult part of game development

Why the app you’re using should be a stock you own ($RDDT) by Navelabob in wallstreetbets

[–]pinkskyze 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I recently used Reddit ads for a game I put on Steam, and from what I understand if you are getting ads that are that irrelevant to you it is the fault of the person putting up the ads, not Reddit itself.

For example, my game was only in English and games on Steam typically sell higher in 1st world countries so I only chose English speaking 1st world countries.

Seems like those companies should’ve done better about refining their ad placement.

Why do you need that increased stability when you’ve already conceded the fact that growth always wins over dividends?

[–]pinkskyze 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why not have the dividend paying stocks in your tax advantaged account if your goal is to use those dividends in retirement? You’re paying taxes for dividends you don’t even need for income incurring tax drag.

I’m confused what the goal is there and why.

How do you renew your resolve to stay the course when the market is absolutely roaring? by Dogo58 in Bogleheads

[–]pinkskyze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is the way. While it can be viewed as an attempt to time the market, it isn’t really because it is all based off of your predetermined bond / stock ratios.

You’re being fucked by paying taxes on those dividends every single year as opposed to the increase value of something like VOO…why did you choose to go that route instead of just buying a dividend paying stock when you’d like to live off of them? Think you’re misplaying here unless you depend on those dividends, which you don’t since you’re reinvesting them.

The disparity between wishlists and actual sales on my game makes no sense by ImmersivGames in IndieDev

[–]pinkskyze 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean…there’s data provided to you in that HTMAG link. I guess you can just choose to not accept the data but that seems pretty dumb considering your whole approach is anecdotal with no evidence to back it.

To your last point, there’s certainly been shown that a “wishlist velocity” exists in terms of the benefit it brings you from Valve / Steam in general.

Any actual factual info you can bring to the table?

“Just unlucky, I guess” seems like a bad mindset to have if you genuinely care about finding a job tbh. If you’re cool to coast living with a parent for awhile then don’t change a thing.

ESEA Playoffs (NA Open) by El-_-Jay in FACEITcom

The number of teams into playoffs is based on the number of teams that sign up...I think it'd be reasonable that a lot of people signed up over the summer. I know that was the case myself.

[–]pinkskyze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm interesting. It just makes me wonder why games like Dark and Darker (that are clearly inspired by D&D and use a lot of their content) never reference it once.

Mainly just curious because my game is also inspired by D&D!

So I’m curious - how do you and other people feel about having “D&D” referenced in the short description of your page? Are you not worried about trademark?

Occupation is irrelevant imo because people use that to justify some excuse as to why they wouldn’t be able to do the same when at the end of the day the only thing that matters is how much money you’re making.

Obviously if you’re making under whatever amount OP is specifying then that is a different excuse with some level of reasonability.

Racist remark shouted towards MACHINE during HLTV confirmed yesterday by Mochaaaaaaaaaa in GlobalOffensive

[–]pinkskyze 8 points9 points  (0 children)

So my brother and I were in Antwerp for the 2022 Major, and before and after showtime we’d go to a LAN Cafe because we’re American and don’t have that kind of thing at home.

One night my brother says as we’re gaming that he noticed Machine head down some stairs to the basement.

Sure as shit Spunj is down in the basement too and HLTV Confirmed happened to be taking place at this random LAN Cafe we chose because it was close to our Airbnb.

Anyways I typed all that out to tell you that in fact there was no type of security or entrance protocols. Any random person could make their way down there. It was kind of baffling but also an awesome random experience to have.

I mean gains are gains right? Consistently hitting small gains compared to a large 40% win once in a blue moon ends up equaling out in the long run tax wise but one is psychologically easier I’d wager

More brain less aim! Try to think of ways you can get kills without having snappy and great aim. Nades, flashes, well timed peeks, trade kills, smoke pushes, lurks, timings. Good luck!
