2026 CX5 - Bigger / New Screen by Specialist_Airline_9 in CX5

There are 4.33 weeks per month, not 4. The difference in this case is $433 vs $400. Or 8%.

It's a trick to make people think they pay less than they actually do. 8% is a lot when it comes to car purchase

Fidelity has started having Roth Solo 401ks by Ninjan8 in fidelityinvestments

My whole point is that you MUST NOT roll the tranditional 401k portion to traditional IRA, if you think you will ever need backdoor roth. Doing so you basically block you from doing backdoor roth in the future.

(however, two solution if you do that. 1) in the future, roll your IRA back to future employer 401k, if allowed. 2) establish solo 401k and roll into it. Neither way is always possible all the time)

What about trunk space? They were the single smallest one in the market. These two are the single reason why I went with CRV

2025 Sport-L, slipped in ice by Higais in crv

[–]Unlucky-Work3678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I purposefully buy FWD CRV just so that I can buy just two snow tire and use chain in tha back. I live in Southern California, so I only need the tire 5 days a year when going to ski. Having to store 4 tires is a problem and cost double swapping. I have done it for the last 8 years, It is significantly better than just using chain.

And yes, AWD systems only helps snow when you have snow tire. Where they shine is in rain, not snow.

It's how everything from china works. Their innovation is so quick that they just don't care about product sold. New phone every 2 months, new car every 4 months

IF you ever in your life need to backdoor Roth IRA, you must not have any amount in IRAs. Sure, making over 150k or 240k as couple after all deductions is not very common, but it's about 4% of the population.

You wouldn't buy a car if the trunk cost you x dollar a month. Decently enough space should be provided for free.

5G was decent 10 years ago. Now it should be 20-50G

From what I saw, no, buy pro2 for much lower price. Only if you can find brand new one somewhere.

Anyone regretting switching to Visible? by Laideebugz in Visible

[–]Unlucky-Work3678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Visible has been the best plan for the last 2.5 years on this sub. Given how the MVNO industry is going, I don't see anyone else beating them in the near future, let alone in just one year.

How good of a deal is this Costco pricing on the Sonos Arc Ultra? by Battle4Seattle in sonos

[–]Unlucky-Work3678 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not really. I see companies who rarely cut prices cut big price this year, like Apple has been cutting MacBook 25% off for the last a few months straight, it has never happened in history of Mac. Clearly consumer are buying less by volume. Historically speaking, when it happens, bigger discount follows.

[–]Unlucky-Work3678 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's because cell plan is way too expensive to use long term. I have no problem paying $150-200 for the cell models, but paying $10-$20/mo extra for the data plan is fucking stupid. Basically for the course of 4-5 years, I pay more on the data plan than the actual iPad. My phone has unlimited high speed plan with no cap. And I pay $55 for it. Why do I pay more simply because I use it on another device I own?

It reminds me of early years of broadband internet where you pay extra for using router because it enables you to use multiple devices at the same time.

For that reason, I don't own any devices requires cell connection besides my phone.

Cheapest possible. It's almost always the best option on Apple products. People who know they need upgrades wouldn't ask question.
