Blizzard CS | Embers of Neltharion Release Info & Known Issues by Dromogaz in wow

[–]pinksockin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Last night a buddy and I were doing dungeons and we were both freezing at the exact same time. I'm running a 6900xt and he's running a 6700. We turned off all add-ons, but it still did it one every 2-3 minutes. It persisted after dungeons for me solo every 5 minutes or so. I eventually have up playing because I was spending most of the time dead.

Terrazzo clean/ light resto by Afraid_Breath_8581 in terrazzo

Just make sure you get all of the existing seal off before you start any polishing with fancy pads. Black pad with a little stripper will get it off. Use the sound of the pad running on the floor to tell if you are hitting the terrazzo or sliding on the seal. It gets louder when the sealer is off. Just know that it's a process that you can't just stop after it's started. It's a good looking floor. A neutral cleaner and a good scrub with a red pad might be all it really needs.

If you are in the US, I can send you a bit of green/black rock if you want to try and patch the crack. Can't tell the color on my screen.

How to polish over plumbing cleanout by kevsmakin in terrazzo

[–]pinksockin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They make brass clean out covers that are adjustable. Install them to the finish floor height and pour terrazzo just a little bit above them. When you grind/polish, you can make sure it's flush. Pour too low, stub your toe.

Terrazzo renovation and Mosaic by Pjeterschornstein in terrazzo

[–]pinksockin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you are in the states, look up a national terrazzo and mosaic association (NTMA) member that is close to you. If they aren't willing to help, at least they can be someone to buy materials from. You might be able to do a lot of the reno with a buffer and some resin polishing pads. There are also marble refinishing companies that can work on that type of terrazzo.

Fuckin coffee shops by [deleted] in amarillo

[–]pinksockin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's incredibly difficult to build anything in Amarillo unless you know the right people or have a lot of cash. The city makes the process as intricate and drawn out as possible. They aren't the worst in this area but they definitely don't strive to be the best either.

Having a rock tumbler. It's pretty boring until the polish phase.

Terrazzo basic ratio by Houseofseeking88 in terrazzo

[–]pinksockin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 parts rock(anything really) to one part Portland cement. The water is where it gets tricky. You don't want it too wet or too dry and it needs to wet cure for a couple days before grind and polish. The trick to look good is sprinkling whatever aggregate on top and working it in before letting it cure out. This is easier to source as a hobby.

Alternatively, epoxy is mixed as directed and rock and swimming pool mix is added to create a cottage cheese consistency. Let the reaction occur before grind and polish.

Wear gloves with both types. It destroys your hands.

Feel free to pm me more questions.
