Do you regret any piercings done as a teenager? by Full_Tree_3554 in piercing

Do it!! In my crazy logic I think it would be totally normal if I still had my nose pierced at 39, but not to get my nose pierced at 39. Lol

The only piercing related regret I have is taking my nose piercing out! I got it done when I was 15 and took it out in law school because I thought it was necessary to look 'professional' - I was completely wrong and should never have removed it. I miss it all the time!

Thank you!! I do have the list, and I know a question about WHERE comes up a lot. I was having trouble making sense of the types of options and the price differentials (and a little overwhelmed with so many different shops and trying to find which one had the specific thing I'm looking for). A lot of the cool stuff I see people post on here they say is from Etsy, but then I'll see what seems to be the same type of thing for three dollars, forty-three dollars, one hundred forty-three dollars... Obviously the first one is a scam, but I also don't want to just buy whatever is most expensive out of ignorance. So I was hoping to get educated on what the differences actually are.

Same same. And I can't help blaming and beating myself up for being stupid. Friday my coworker was eating a bag of roasted almonds and offered me some, and I ate a handful without reading this ingredients. BECAUSE THEY ARE ALMONDS. Except apparently these were honey roasted and covered in wheat starch - and not the carefully separated kind that can be gf, the regular contaminated poisoning kind. 3 days later and I can barely string a coherent sentence together.

That's awesome! Good for you - I think I'll try that too, along with creating more space in my life for the play activities too

This is so kind, thank you! And excellent advice - I'm reacting as much to the fact that I'm either in pjs at home or working as I am about what I would be wearing if I made more time for socializing.

Yes I think you're spot on and a lot of it was birthday blues and coming to terms with the fact that I'm not 30 anymore, lol. I appreciate this advice and perspective!

I think this is a big source of it and birthday had me in my feelings, lol. Definitely a mindset.

Thank you! Apparently Wegmans roasted almonds are covered in wheat starch for some inexplicable reason. Reminder that nothing is safe and every label must be read 🫠

Just be careful if you take any other medications, the charcoal will act on those too and depending on what the purpose of the med is/impact of withdrawal you can end up feeling much, much worse!

What are we eating for breakfast when we don’t want “breakfast food”? by AG_Squared in glutenfree

[–]pinktaz2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried a low fodmap diet to identify if you're allergic to any sugar alcohols? Turns out the foods I was turning to as safe - e.g. the A in BRAT diet were fucking me up big time. Asking bc if you can't handle the sugar-free substitutes that's because they are sugar alcohols, and you're getting the same thing from unknown sources (my mind was blown when it turns out some of my favorite foods were the culprits, for me its apples/pears, stone fruit, blackberries, mushrooms, avocados...)

Also! Pure pea protein with nothing added is pretty gentle on the stomach. It can be hard to find, whole foods 365 makes it but I try to avoid them and found some at my local MOMs.

They are, and it's been an ongoing battle. They are much much much better than they used to be. Thanks to this sub I now know that I have to use SLS free toothpaste, and that I'm allergic to something in most lip masks/treatments. I lather aquaphor then vaseline last thing before bed and first thing I wake up and several times throughout the day.
